Popular Post wilko154
I'm not a smoker, and don't really care about smokers But could they re-open the smoking area's so that I don't have to give myself cancer when I fancy a half time wee Thanks
Demitri_C
Can you just say to them as happy as I am with the transfer window (the end anyway) it was very poor planning from the club with regards to ACON. We all knew two of our main attackers were off yet we let rudy go with no replacement lined up and this has fundamentally cost us play off place. Just want reassurances such poor planning won't happen again in the future and they have learned from that how much of a big mistake this was. PompeyVillan
Just to echo it took 20 minutes to get served at half time in the upper Holte yesterday. This happens frequently, all over the ground. Is it really so difficult? Enforce in and out lanes, have a drinks only lane with express service, a tap and pay lane? Easier to use tills? I dunno, it seems ridiculous given how expensive everything is.
PompeyVillan
Oh also, I'd personally like a better idea of what Steve Round actually does.

Ive been asking for years for youth and reserve games to be shown live on AVTV but never get a proper response from the club, with my weird shift patterns I work nearly every weekend so its very difficult for me to make games. When we were in the premier league I could catch the games live somewhere on the internet, but in the championship if we're not live on sky, you cant even get the game on the radio most the times. It's very frustrating the limited highlights they put up. Why cant they show full reruns of games? even a week later I wouldn't mind. I would happily pay £100 for AVTV if it had things fans actually want - full reruns, live under 23s / youth games, full press conferences (not just the 2 minute segments on Facebook). Even take it further, have a live chat show with ex players where fans can phone in and discuss on Thursday nights or something. There's so much potential to do great stuff with AVTV.

Well said , it sickens me that I pay for avtv but get no press conferences live and yet the club tweet to watch the press conference live on Facebook or as last week to watch the youth game live on Facebook whilst neither are live on avtv ? What exactly are we paying avtv subscriptions for ? the press conferences are put on avtv several hours later and the lIve commentaries are taken from BBC radio - time to sort this out and give the fans value for money. Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted February 13, 2017 Author Moderator Popular Post Share Posted February 13, 2017 Agenda points: A note of thanks for Xia/Wyness changing manager when it wasn't working and transfer backings Outsourcing - moving the retail group to Fanatics, moving the catering to Compass - what’s the model we’re following? Will the process continue through ticketing? Stewarding? Other areas of the club? Some very unhappy staff and now ex staff, what’s being done to help support longstanding employees as many now are left feeling their jobs are under threat. Includes drop in standards in corporate which hopefully is being sorted, plus why the metal detectors going into corporate and not all the entrances to Villa Park? Villa Shop - Sad to see the Villa store in New Street has closed. A club of our size in the second city should have a presence. Just a thought to a city centre location maybe a re-brand would work. Something along the lines of a Coffee shop / sports bar or something within a store with appearance being more 2017 maybe. Grand Central location with a bigger footfall - tourists, advertising, brand awareness - coffee shop or bar area type would help increase revenue to ensure its sustainable. Ticket pricing/Season Tickets- Any plans to be radical with the pricing structure to attract fans back? Ticketing - season ticket prices for next season and ticketing offers - there seem to be a lot less offers this year, there’s a lot less going into chasing up lapsed season ticket holders and bringing them back into the fold - what will the club be doing in the summer to fill Villa Park? Villacash - the quickness of the decision, on top of the free cup ticket not coming to fruition - season ticket holders feeling less valued - it was short notice and poorly communicated - what can be done to make it clearer what’s now on offer? Mascots: Details of the decision to move mascot selection from being between season ticket holders and JV Life Members and free..... to being a paid privilege now at a fairly high cost. What is the split between paid and free? Many can’t afford the price of a season ticket AND the privilege of being a mascot but young season ticket holders should be rewarded. Watford Friendly: Would it be possible to include a friendly with Watford in our preseason plans in memory of Graham Taylor - it’d be a great way to give fans from both teams a chance to remember him. Fans forum: Would Steve Bruce do a fans forum? Charges: A little detail on what the fixed and floating charge over many Aston Villa related companies registered at Companies House in favour of HSBC (Nov 16) means for us. Quicker points: Phone/ Internet signal/Wi-Fi surely in this day and age and with Xia being so into technology we can all get a signal during matches? Update on safe standing. Catering - service on the concourses is still poor - and outside of the Trinity Road, product offer remains limited, difficult to get served at half time. Run out song. Emerson Lake and Palmer, it is ridiculous. Home town boys are Black Sabbath, Geezer especially is a massive Villa fan. Witton train station bridge paint job (the club have offered several times) Website problems. Any plans to upgrade? Could more U23 matches could be streamed live on Facebook. Can games not being televised on National TV Be broadcast on AVTV similar to Newcastle and Fulham. This is essential for overseas clubs and growing the global brand Why are some of the car parks closed? The club operate a car park on Brookvale Road which has been closed for much of the season. Can we do something with the recently empowered West Midlands Combined Authority on getting more fans in through public transport - included busses and trains in the ticket price for example? North Stand/Aston regeneration, any updates Commercial links with China and other clubs Any likelihood the Lions Club in the Doug Ellis will be reopened? Was closed at the start of the season due to cost-cutting etc. but attendances have been pretty much the same as last year so any possibility of re-opening? This has been sent to the club in advance of the meeting tomorrow - I'll endeavour to ensure the points about AVTV are raised too.
Eastie
Why no question regarding avtv when several have brought up this issue in the last 2 days since you asked ? sorry - just seen your line at the bottom . Can you ask specifically why we who pay cannot view things on avtv which are shown on Facebook live ? Edited February 13, 2017 by Eastie

Sorry Eastie, it would have been on there properly but the agenda went in a couple of days ago and I hadn't picked up on it. I will ensure it's asked - for me it ties in with a few things that were part of the season ticket package and aren't there now.

Being nitpicky here, but the Palmers are all hometown boys and supposedly big Villa fans, so whilst I agree it is a slightly odd choice of song it does actually have relevance to the club. Don't think this point contributes to anything in any significant way though...
OutByEaster? Posted February 15, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted February 15, 2017 Gents, the club are writing up the notes from this meeting and they'll be available hopefully on Friday - Keith Wyness was present for the club as was the commercial manager Luke Organ. I got the question in about AVTV/Facebook.

Was there about 7, there were 3 customers, one served at a time as 5 people bumble around. One asked for the order and then just stood there for 5 minutes until everything was done, three people made each order and the other one seemed to be standing there and supervising this whole operation. Eastie
From official twitter account Our #FAYouthCup clash with @ManCity will be screened LIVE on our Facebook channel this Wednesday, kick-off 7pm. #AVFC this is exactly what I was referring to last week - people are paying for avtv and not getting to see this and yet it's free on Facebook - not everyone wants Facebook - so exactly what are we paying for on avtv? edit - just cancelled my subscription - another disgruntled fan! OutByEaster? No need to apologise my friend , you have done your part - I think many will quit paying subscriptions for the service on avtv - it's really poor for a club the size of villa and there is so much potential if it was well run with features, regular interviews etc . we have a huge fan base and many overseas followers to tap into.
