The Manager thread

If Unai Emery had never managed Arsenal and was still somewhere in europe then Everton appointing him would probably be seen as a coup given his general record.

As it is will be plenty of negativity but I think he'd do o.k there, was always going to be tough to come in straight after Wenger.

Everton could do worse, just need to ignore all the press who'll hammer them if they actually appoint him. Want to see it not least due to Everton actually playing Arsenal in two weeks.

Ah the memories, 2002 wasn't it? Something in the water in Korea/Japan. If Mellberg had been Irish he'd have knocked Roy Keane out.

sure Keane would have walked away well before that ;)

4 nil win, top C League group. Sack the manager 😂

They're miles off it in Serie A, 7 points off even 6th.

To me it's similar to Spurs. Group really pushed Juve over last three seasons but couldn't win the title and now they need to regenerate their core group as it's lacking a bit of motivation. Hamsik went to China halfway through last season and seems the president regrets now not cashing in on Koulibaly and Mertens when their stocks were very high 12-18 months back.

Mertens is available on a Bosman as well in the summer, can see him at liverpool. Napoli benefited in recent seasons from a weak chasing pack in Italy but now Inter, Lazio, Roma, Cagliari and Atalanta are much better this season and they never evolved

Maradona in Mexico is an interesting docu series. Some parts obviously edited for viewers but an interesting story. Wasnt aware of how well he did in Mexico.

You can also clearly see his flaws of why he never became a good coach but he is certainly not the worst. His body especially his knees are completely damaged

SSN linking CA with Everton (no doubt in association with sky bet)

Really don't see it

Lots of Everton fans getting excited about them being bigger than arsenal, which is of course bollocks, no firm link with them yet but they'd be lucky to have him

Ancelotti sacked from Napoli although their president has completely flipped this season so all the bad results aren't solely his fault.

Expect Carlo to end up at a London premier league club very soon anyway.

Replaced by Gattuso 😂

Finished the Maradona series now and its really good to watch with a good narrative as Dorados is based in El Chapo country. Players loved him but you can clearly see he is too short tempered like Di Canio.

Diego himself at times looks out of place on the sidelines in his dresscode. He seems clean though which is good. You must wonder how many other careers he and Gazza probably saved or extended due to what happened to them
