The only potential issue in this deal is the money. Apparently we are offering 'premier league wages', we don't want to have someone turn up and take the piss on a fat wage (like McCormack), so hopefully Hogan is of much better character.

McCormack is fat washed up footballer. Thankfully Hogan is younger and I am sure he will want to be a England international too. Fingers crossed

I'd be very surprised if Hogan ever played for England - looks OK but certainly not for the 15mil that's being bandied about IMO.

But that's the market we're. Kodjia certainly wasn't worth what we paid but we still paid it because we need to get out of this division. For what it's worth I think Hogan would be better suited to the premier league than Kodjia. I think there's more upside. Perhaps not a future England player but then England strikers will go for more than £15m these days.

Rochdale will make £2m+ on the sale because of a sell-on clause. We really should think about using these.

I guess this one needs to be done soon before someone else comes in for him. I wonder whether he will want to stretch this one out so he can see if a PL club match our bid? If we don't get this one over the line all roads will point to Rhodes.

The Brentford board seem less than impressed with West Ham. They're saying they turned the lads head, messed them about and then walked away without ever putting in a serious bid. No surprise from that low life, porn peddling bunch of crooks.

We paid over the odds a few seasons ago for Darren Bent in January and he went on a great run of scoring goals to keep us up that season, maybe Hogan can do something similar but fire us into the play off places aided by the Old Codger?

Would be funny, however, if we are just unsettling him enough to not play tonight and then pull out of negotiations after the game. :D

Well yes, but the lack of striker might wipe the smile off our faces

I meant this more as if we had another striker lined up anyway (i.e. Rhodes).
