If we get on a really good run and rekindle our play-off hopes, could his final goal for Barnsley against Leeds prove pivotal in some way?

Doubt it will stop Leeds making the top 6 but his winning goal for us in the play off final  at wembley in may will prove pivotal :D

Barnsley fans visiting Villa Park on Valentine's Day will be like going out and watching your ex getting it on with one of your mates.

Even more so if he rattles one into their top corner to win the game :)

Well hopefully we'll do 'em up the wrong 'un, so maybe they're turning up for a farewell shag :)

Last Time down here in these parts of the football pyramid we also nicked a midfielder off Barnsley called Stuart Gray.

Helped us get promoted and became our Captain.

Seen him a few times and certainly looks a decent player and the type we need in midfield.

Good to see we might be trying to play some football in the coming weeks !

For those who've said Bruce only ever wants to play hoof ball this would seem an indicator that's not the case.

Also, it's amazing that the vast majority of tweets about this move from Barnsley fans are thanking him for all he's done and wishing him the best of luck.  I've seen little if any of the usual vitriol that tends to be thrown at departing stars.  Classy stuff Barnsley :thumb:

And remember, this is after losing Bree to us and top scorer Sam Winnall to Sheff Wed as well.  Ouch :(

Also speaks volumes of the character of the man that he was arguably the best player on the pitch against Leeds when he must of known a move was very close. Most would of downed tools, he didn't.

Its seems to me, that not only can the 3 score goals, they can do the other too.
