rubberman
Wish him all the best and hope it works out well. Has been a key part of our last few years, but obviously isn't going to take us any further.
Awol
All the very best to him, been a great servant to the club and clearly a popular, decent guy with it.
tomav84 Posted January 19, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted January 19, 2021 swansea are making a real push for it by the looks of it. be nice to see him being part of that and being a PL regular for them next season, if they make the deal perminant
HalfTimePost
Conors transfer is a strange one to me.... But only because it's been so long since we've moved a player on at the right time. Been great for us and glad he gets to go and fight to get back into a Prem squad. He deserves it, loan good all round and he can assess his options in the summer. Either take Swansea up or see if he can get in at a lower table club. Can see the likes of West Ham or Newcastle looking at him as a squad player if he'd be happy with that

He should be very fondly remembered, as he's played a big part in the transition between us being in the shit, and becoming a force again (I hope). But his level is, in my opinion, below where we are now and definitely where we want to be in a year. Ramsey is ahead of him, and that's right for the club. As a club, we treat our players well, and should give him the loan move he wants (providing they meet our terms). And hopefully one day, when we're all back in, he gets to play at Villa Park, and gets the appreciation he deserves.
rbcuk
Decent in the championship but not a premier league player goes missing far to much, hopefully there is an obligation to buy at the end of the loan deal
jimcohen
Yeah agreed. But if a squad player elsewhere, why not here. The other players (including Jack) clearly love him. I don’t get this. I like him as an option off the bench with his set pieces in a tight game where we are not creating much.
bose
Good luck Conor, has been an important part of our revival in the past few years. If I remember correctly he came in at the same time as Birkir Bjarnason and Henri Lansbury in January 2017 but has done so, much, much better. Solid player. MaVilla
will always have respect for the guy, was a vital part of the promotion squad, allegedly a real professional off the pitch, top guy by the seems of it. He clearly isnt good enough for where we want to be or where we are currently, but will always be thankful for his efforts over the last couple of years, best of luck to him and i hope he tears it up in the champ. PieFacE Posted January 19, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted January 19, 2021 All the best to Conor. He's a big part of why we are where we are right now and that shouldn't be forgotten. Excellent pro and it's a shame he isn't quite at the level to help us push on further. Nothing but respect for the man. 1
Popular Post It's Your Round
It’s the right time to move Conor on, we’ve progressed ahead of schedule and he doesn’t fit where we want to be. He’ll do well at Swansea no doubt, and at least he got to play for us in the Premier League, finally completing his journey through the leagues. He’ll always have my respect. I’m a little sad to see him go, he was instrumental in our championship promotion and he’s scored some cracking goals. He’s repaid very penny and some of the small fee we paid for him.

useless
We're only allowed so many players in the squad, it's not as if we can just stockpile them in case we have an injury crisis, or another covid attack, that's why he's being allowed to leave on loan. useless
Hourihane would have no problem getting a new club in the summer, regardless of whether he stayed with us or went out on loan.
