Said to me he absolutely destroyed bridcutt at the weekend. Shook him up with a heavy but fair tackle and dominated thereafter knocking the stuffing out of Leeds. I'm around long enough as a villa fan to not get excited about incoming signings but as an irishman I can tell ye lads that cork sportsmen are as honest and hardworking as the days long. Well Ashley Westwood is a central midfielder who has played for us for a number of years and frustrated many. We have just signed Hourihane, who plays in the same position and is massively acclaimed by the Barnsley fans. Every level he has played at he has shone and this season he has been the standout midfielder in our division. For what we are hoping to achieve in this division we couldn’t have gotten better and I have a feeling he can make the step up to the top flight with us and more than hold his own there. I am well pleased. Well done to Conor for seeing the bigger picture with us and seeing the huge potential at our club, well done to Bruce, Round and Wyness for getting him to come here and well done to Tony Xia for again stumping up the money. That would be the only link. We wouldn't be praising Westwood as our "best midfielder in 20 years" as he clearly isn't. Hence buying new midfielders.
