Eastie
Shattering news confirmed by the evening mail - Link Quote Former Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Graham Taylor has passed away at the age of 72. Born in Worksop, his playing career was spent in Lincolnshire - he made over 300 appearances for Lincoln City and Grimsby Town. Taylor had two spells as boss at Villa, the first one considerably successful when he led them back to the First Division. That achievement earned him the England job in 1990, and he led England to the European Championships in 1992. A spell at Molineux followed, as did a second stint at Villa Park. Taylor enjoyed a successful period at Watford too, so much so that a stand at Vicarage Road carries his name. He since had been a pundit with BBC Radio Five Live. We will be providing updates, reaction and tributes from supporters and fellow professionals after this extremely sad news today.

6065_Villa
RIP GT a real gentleman and saved us from freefall. Used to see him from time to time at the plough and arrow with his Mrs, always had time for a quick chat and still loved the Villa.
