Graham Taylor

sad day for everybody, I was too young to remember his first reign, he did bring God to the club and God himself would tell you he was in absolutely no shape at the time and Taylor re-invigorated him.

One thing is I have never met him but from interviews and other stories he sounds like an absolute gentleman and not some act that people in the game portray for the cameras

Platt, McGrath and Yorke the 3 best signings in my lifetime all by Sir Graham.

He also brought Sid back to the club for his second spell. That is two of the best players this club has ever had and alongside Yorke and Platt arguably all our best players over the last 30 odd years all signed by Graham Taylor for fees totalling less than 1 million pound combined. We eventually sold Platt and Yorke for over 17 million.

Expect 90 minutes of graham Taylor's claret and blue army on Saturday.

Was anyone at that legendary away day at Goodison when the thousands of villa fans sang it none stop.
