Really poor boring performance. The only way we were ever going to get something from it was a moment of magic and luckily grealish came up with it, but we can't play like that on Tuesday.

We weren't that bad at all . We just struggle to break down teams who defend deep and with numbers . We never looked like losing and it was worth the price of admission to see that finish . My feet are saturated but I am more than happy with the win ,

It most certainly is.  This league isn't about fancy football, it's about taking the chances when you have them and carving out ugly results when needed.  We won't reach the heights of Newcastle this season (in this league) but we're proving a point now that we're no longer an embarrassment and that we'll fight to the end.  I'd gladly take ugly football with a win over fancy football with a late loss.

Sorry to piss on one chip dinner but it's all about the three points. We can worry about performing better when Bruce has had more time and a transfer window to sort out the glaring holes in our team.

Was at the game, Gardner was poor. Jedinak was solid if a little sloppy. 

We didn't really create much it was a poor game.  Wonder goal from Jack lifted the damp spirits.

delighted with the win and the goal, but agree we need to be doing better if teams are going to keep parking the bus, hopefully a few new players in Jan will help

We were good for the first 10 and the last 20 minutes of the game. In between was turgid!

Amavi was excellent today, MOTM for me.  He was our best attacking outlet for 87 minutes and was pretty decent at the back...although this in itself was a gimme considering just how poor wigan were.

My seat is right behind the angle in which Jacks goal went, truly superb, done nowhere near enough justice on that highlight. It would have been a crying shame if that had not been the winner.

Finally Ayew was woeful; A passenger all game today who couldn't hold onto the ball; Needs to be an impact player from the bench for me!

But 3 points is 3 points and its amazing how that goal will change the perception of the game.

Kodjias little dink was almost a superb finish, didn't really have a chance after that though we dominated the play until Jacks goal.
