Moving home

Bought two houses, one with people occupying and one new build. I don't get what all the fuss is about, although my missus did get stressed out. I am very laid back but I quite enjoyed the process of moving, apart from assembling all the new stuff I had to buy for the houses.

People need to chill out!!

Urgh I hate it. I've moved about 8 times in the past 10 years. I'm so sick of moving. This time I'm just paying people to do it all for me.

Plus, my current flat is up 8 flights of steps with no lift....

I don't understand how you could enjoy the process, it's stressing me out no end.

I thought every block of flats higher than 4 stories needs a lift?

Hence why most blocks are 3 or 4 floors.

I didn't know that! But it is 4 blocks, but to every block you have to go up 2 sets of stairs. Pain in the arse.

All done, going to get the keys tomorrow at 10am

It has been fine other than the landlords acting like knobs, they were just showing that they had me by the balls.

I'm gunna have to keep popping back over the next few days to pick up the odd thing, as long as I have got my balti bowl at the new place so I can christen it with a curry then I'll be happy.

I'm not going to have any internet for 3 weeks and I may not have any Sky TV for a while either. I'll be lost without the internet but with regards to the telly that doesn't bother me at all other than the boxing that I'll miss, I'll have my books, guitars, banjo's and piano to keep me more than occupied.

I always knew that there was a reason why I still actually downloaded porn rather than just rely on streaming stuff, I've got a huge stash of all manor of things on my laptop so that is something else that I will be good for.

Can you not get a MiFi dongle to get you connected? I know friends who have a vodafone MiFi (on business) and they love it.  GiffGaff do deals too (like £5 a month if you only want to do browsing). They're contract free (ish) too :)

Yeah I used a 3G dongle for a few weeks when I moved into my first place nearly 9 years back. Did the job and I'd imagine they'd be a lot faster now!

gotta be honest at the moment now £5 a month is far too much for me to find at the moment, I've spunked a shed load of money on this move, can't wait till payday now

Well I was on the high street but now I'm just off gravelly hill, still just a few minutes walk away from the high street which is handy as I don't drive, plus I can still get to the acorn and Charley Hall.

I've literally moved one bus stop away from where I was.
