Randomly picked a page in a thread titled "Steve 'False Manager' Bruce" on the Newcastle forum to gauge the feelings of their fans at the moment, and including the title, it's off to a cracker already:

First of all:  :crylaugh:

Second of all, this is almost a carbon copy of Aston Villa circa 2018.

even in the last days here he had some backers on the forums etc. Not one I have seen yet support him

I guess it's because he didn't "stop the rot" at Newcastle, and wasn't a very popular appointment to begin with.

His Rafa comments won't get him any more love!

As for the game, after the Norwich game last year's game was probably the most dominant and comfortable that we were all season even if it was only 2-0, we had over 60% possession and it never looked in doubt, we looked composed and confident

Would take that again, we don't have to blow them away just be the better team that we are and professionally put them to the sword

Which itself was identical to Sunderland in 2010.

At Sunderland he used to go on about mass hysteria, and shutting a few up, and thought fans drove him out because he's a geordie. At Newcastle he has gone on about mass hysteria, shutting a few up, and how some fans don't like him because he used to manage Sunderland.

The bloke is a prize word removed.

Stuff about his kids on social media is so funny.

We knew it at the time because he referenced "hysteria" loads of times when there was never dissent at games and you know he's not sat there on Facebook.

Why would you ever ask about criticism against you OR why would you tell your dad about stick he's getting? None of it makes sense, but Steve Bruce as a football manager doesn't make sense.

A good point already raised...I will give him credit that he usually builds a small following at clubs. There's often a few fans that will stick up for him at the time and after. It really doesn't look like at Newcastle. They all hate him which is great.

He made the exact same comment regarding him previously managing the Blues when here as well

It's a bold tactic, mining Ghostbusters for his post-match material, you gotta give him that at least.

And I thought our fans hated him - wow! 😐

Rafa just mutually left his contract in China due to covid concerns

wonder if he’s heading back to Newcastle ?

China is the safest place on the planet for Covid isn’t it? Seems a strange reason to want to leave the country.

One of those almost truth or deceptions he keeps spouting to make himself look to be doing better than he actually is. For us it was that we were sitting in relegation spot when he took over (which we didn't) and then he kept on going with that he'd only been here less than year when it was closer to 18 months and then it was only 18 months when it was around 2 years. No millions to spend despite one of the biggest budgets in EFL history and so on and so on.
