Angles make it easier to step inside and get a shot off. You also have he option to go down the by line and cross. Ashley Young was one of the early adopters of this. The philosophy and every player's involvement within it is exciting, and the reference to competitive training is just as it should be. A team that trains competitively to win, only ever plays on match day to win, and never even thinks of going out not to lose! Brentford finished 6 points off the playoffs as they lost a lot of their best players and rebuilt the team, that took 8-9 games at which point there we calls for Dean Smith's head. From there on they had a brilliant season with playoff form and were left to rue the bad start. This season, again they have lost a few players but crucially have made a better start as their attacking players are on form and are now settled in the Championship. I really hope Bruce's plan stuffs Smith's plan tomorrow night for the sake of the three points .... but I know which football I'd rather watch regularly, and it isn't Steve Bruce's.
