"El-Ghazi let slip at the signing today that he hasn’t seen Bruce at training in days"

Stolen from Facebook.

He will probably be in some Russian airport getting dragged along the floor as he wraps himself around John Terrys ankle.. "Pleeeeaaase John, don't sign for them!"

In the past week Tommy elphick and now Mitchell Clark have come out in interviews to air their frustrations about Bruce. Both still villa players !! That's not good.

That is definitely not good, but not suprising.

Bruce is useless.

(Any links to either interview please?)

This is the Clark interview from BHam Mail:

I'm sure if you have a look around you will find the Elphick one there too.

Even from the most simple planning point of view SB's decisions this summer have been nothing short of crazy. At the end of last season, we had Chester, Terry, Samba, Tuanzebe for two CB positions. To let Terry and Samba go made sense from a financial and transfer policy point of view. But to get no replacement at all is hard to understand. Then on top of this, to loan out a senior pro in Elphick is hard to understand. But maybe he doesn't fancy him, but then why loan out Clark and Suliman too? And leave your self with no options, he banged on all summer about not rotating enough last season, he has no option now at all.

Last point, if Chester gets injured or suspended we could be looking at a CB pairing of Jedi and Tuanzebe or Bree.

He literally doesn't even mention Bruce in that interview.

Just said he didn't want to be here because he wasn't playing and wanted to go out on loan to get some game time.
Ok you can of course tie that back to Bruce as he picks the teams, but it's hardly airing frustrations about Bruce.

Edit: just seen on Twitter that Mitch Clark has said the same himself. He said in the article he meant he didn't want to be on the tour with the younger age group, not that he didn't want to be at Villa. He said he's happy at Villa

Spoke of his frustration at being involved last season against Wigan, playing well then not get a look in again thereafter. Also he spoke of going to Portugal with the squad in the summer then said he was a bit down at been told he was going on a training camp with the 23s after been involved in the pre season games. Ok he didn't mention Bruce but the lad sounds bit peeved and u don't have to be a genius to know who he's  peeved at.

He sounds like a guy who's frustrated at not getting as much football as he'd like.

Like 99% of footballers currently not starting for their clubs.

It's the kind of interview you hear from every player who has ever gone out on loan.

Anything to turn into a dig at Bruce though

Obviously he was aiming his frustration at Luke Organ.

How can you not see that?

Edit comment is exactly right.  The Mail also tried to make this sound more dramatic a statement than it really was.  He is clearly referring to being with the U23s NOT Villa!

Great podcast from Holtcast ft Howard Hodgson, he mentions all things mainly Bruce..

Interesting…..He has been around the block supporting us ,has Howard....He is well connected at VP

Was threatened to be banned at one time for outspoken comments at VP when Paul Faulkner was chief.....He was " well in and listened to" but obviously they don't like adverse comments, so was ostracised on his watch.

Bruce or no Bruce if these players cant even fight for a place in such a depleted defence then they have no future at Villa.

I always wonder why clubs keep hold of players that aren’t good enough rather than just sell or release them.

He's a full back isn't he? We have about a million.

Clubs hold onto them to see how they develop. The guy is a teenager. Just because he's not good enough right now doesn't mean he's a write off.
He goes out on loan to develop and if he improves then he gets his chance here.

It would be mental to get rid of him at this stage unless he was so far behind that the club were positive he would never make it. And even then clubs can get it wrong.

I'm really **** off today.

After the last game I thought he needed to be sacked, he was still there on the Tuesday after so I then thought at least we will have signed a centre back for the next game...... fast forward just over a week and sod all has happened.

My bad. I thought he was a centre half.
