8 points down to Trelleborg in 3rd with 9 to play for. BP also have 11 goals better gd.

Next round is at home to second placed Dalkurd so very tricky. Then it's away to Öster who might still have an outside chance of finishing in the play off spot. And the last game is at home to Gefle who are still very much fighting to avoid relegation.

3 tricky games but it would take an epic fail for BP not to get promoted. Worse case scenario they have now secured a play off spot.

How long until Olof is ready to come home?

It looks like Bromma have gotten over their wobble just in time.  It's nice that the other sides have stopped winning all around them too.  It seemed Bromma were the only ones dropping points at one stage.  I expect them to sail up now.

Impossible to say. He might be ready now, he might never be.

I'd say he needs at least 2 seasons of top flight football with BP or preferably at a bigger club before he's there.

If we were to poach a manager from Scandinavia I'd go for Graham Potter at Östersund.

Ostersunds are doing it again :)

2-2 at home against Bilbao with them equalizing in the 89th minute.

Very close to another big win, but more than that they had 11 shots on target and 58% possession. Against Bilbao :o

Yes it's cold in Östersund this time of year and some of the Spanish players are not used to playing on that kind of surface, but still.

Very, very impressive.

BBC article on Östersunds' efforts last night.

Ostersunds manager Graham Potter has led his team to seven points from their opening three Europa League games

English midfielder Curtis Edwards struck a 20-yard volley as Swedish minnows Ostersunds drew with Spain's Athletic Bilbao to maintain their unbeaten start in the Europa League.

It was an eventful evening in the competition as Bilbao's Basque rivals Real Sociedad romped to a record away win - 6-0 at Macedonian side Vardar - while thick fog temporarily stopped the Group F match between Czech side Zlin and Danish visitors FC Copenhagen.

Ostersunds once again took the headlines, though, despite being denied a famous victory against the eight-time La Liga champions by Inaki Williams' 89th-minute equaliser.

Former Middlesbrough trainee Edwards, who moved to Sweden after playing for Northern League semi-professional side Thornaby, put Ostersunds within touching distance of a comeback win after Spain striker Aritz Aduriz had given the visitors the lead before half-time.

Ostersunds, managed by former Stoke and Birmingham full-back Graham Potter, levelled against the 2012 Europa League finalists through Salisu Abdullahi Gero after the break.

Edwards, 23, volleyed in shortly after as they looked set to preserve a 100% record at the halfway stage of Europe's secondary club competition.

But Williams tucked in Aduriz's square pass as Athletic avoided a sixth defeat in their past seven Europa League away games.

Despite being unable to clinch victory, the point puts Potter's side in a promising position to qualify for the knockout stage on their European debut.

Ostersunds were in the Swedish fourth tier when Potter took over in 2011 and have been promoted three times before winning the Swedish Cup and qualifying for Europe for the first time.

Athletic, who finished seventh in La Liga last season, are five points adrift of the group leaders after two draws and a defeat in their opening three games.

Said it before, I'd be delighted if Potter was named our new manager.

Be it in December, or next summer.

No matter if we are still in the Championship or by some miracle promoted to the PL.

Amen brother.

Have tried champions league winner

have tried promotion specialist

all before and etc

but Potter is a progressive project manager who undeniably has a gift that could benefit us. Fed up of managerial merry go round. Could be the next (poor mans) ferguson. Just need chance at right club. But yeah congrats again to OStersunds!

big call now, does he stay and try keep them up or has he taken them further than they can possible go. I imagine some bigger positions be opening up that could take a punt on him

I think he'll definitely be head hunted but I think they're big enough to stay up. They've been there not so long ago so it's not quite the underdog story as much as putting them back where they belong. The Swedish world is his oyster now though.

well top flight really isnt there level, have only had 5 seasons in Allsvenskan with 3 relegations. Hammarby, IFK, and Elfsborg even Norrkoping all much bigger clubs and have had poor seasons that he could improve on with bigger budgets

They have some new rich business people on the board and Mellberg's personal friend and ex Sweden team mate Daniel Majstorovic as new Sporting Director.

I think he just might stay for the next season.
