Linked with Sheffield Wednesday, Bruce must be following your posts 😉

Hope he does, if so he will have learned a thing or two :D

Although it might not have that good for his self esteem.

But just in case, I hear Hutton, Whelan, Jedi, Taylor, Elmo and Richards are all stonking players who will no doubt get Sheffield W there, or there about if he signs them in January.

Sweden drew 2-2 against Iceland (managed by Erik Hamrén) in their 2nd game of the winter tour.

Sweden was the dominant team throughout and Iceland equalized in stoppage time, but not a great game by either team as expected. It is the off season after all.

Olof Mellberg's old protege at Brommapojkarna Victor Gyökeres (now at Brighton) was probably the MOTM along with Simon Thern. He also mentioned what a huge help and influence Olof was for his development at BP in an interview before the game.

Game was played at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, the only stadium for the WC that is finished building.

It has running tracks around it so the spectators (there were non) are miles away from the action, and the grass was really weird and the ball behaved like on a plastic pitch almost.

Hang on. Are you implying that the 2022 World Cup might not turn out to be the ultimate football experience for actual fans of the game? Surely not!

There won't be any fans there anyway, they'll all have been locked up for such horrendous crimes as drinking alcohol, holding hands with their partners and going shirtless........

Meanwhile in Sweden the cup derby between IFK Göteborg and GAIS that was abandoned due to a section of the IFK "fans" shooting rockets onto the field on Sunday and was supposed to be resumed on Monday has now been cancelled.

GAIS refused to play on Monday stating they had a weakened team due to their goalie suffering an injury to his hearing, hoping they would be handed a 3-0 win by the FA. But since the rules was changed 3 years back that is no longer an option as IFK are not responsible for the security at the stadium (it's complicated and not 100% clear).

Edit: IFK might be held accountable for these guys after all, which would sadly make sense.

More to follow I guess.

The game was supposed to be played later in the week but now GAIS have forfeited the game and left a walk over meaning IFK are handed the 3-0 win (probably)

Even thou I am an IFK fan it is tragic that these rocket polishers win. Also very strange that GAIS are refusing to play the game that would have been played in front of an empty stadium as they will now likely be thrown out of the cup and banned for taking part the following season. Then again GAIS is a strange club.

Here's hoping the idiots are identified, banned for life and prosecuted.

And now the FA has handed GAIS the victory, 3-0. Even though they refused to play the game twice and left a walk over, something the rules say should disqualify them from this season  and the next :D

I'm not really that bothered with the outcome, those rocket polishers in the IFK stand caused this so if the game was to be decided by a bureaucrat then is should go to GAIS.

Thing is they decided the game should be played the following day, but they refused, and then later in the week, but they refused.

GAIS gambled that the FA would fold, and they did.

Just to add, the GAIS fans also burned pyro's, set fire to some banners and threw bangers, they also thew beer and snusdosor (ggogle it) at one of the IFK players. Just a lot less since there are only about 50 GAIS fans in existence and they make SHA fans seem like actual human beings.

So a 2-1 win for Sweden against Romania but not as rosy as it might seem.

Even before the qualifiers there have been issues with Nilsson-Lindelöf declining for "personal reasons". His wife is preggers but there was also talk about him being pissed when his buddy Guidetti was not picked.

It's probably nothing, but.

Today Emil Forsberg was subbed after 60 mins and walked straight by the managers held out hand and along with his best buddy, our keeper Olsen refused to talk with the media after the game.

Now Forsberg has allegedly pulled out of the upcoming game with Norway after being disappointed in how he's been treated.

That's our 3 biggest stars (and Guidetti) who's on the wrong foot with the manager and that is not good for a small country like Sweden, we don't have much dept in the squad.

The natural opinion will be to blame the players for being petulant clearings in the woods, but they are not really the type. There must be more to it.

Our manager Janne Andersson has done a great job, but he is also a very old school, dour manager who favors teamwork over individuality and who'd rather play a RB at RW than put on a flair player.

would not surprise me one bit if he has issues handling "star players". There have been reports before in German papers about the strained relationship between Forsberg and Andersson.

It's all very reminiscent to back in 2006 when Zlatan, Mellberg and Wilhemsson fell out with the manager at the time Lars Lagerbäck.

They repaired their relationship after a while, hopefully these guys will to.

In fairness Forsberg is pretty shit when it comes to it

Lindelof has a proper reason not to play at least

Yeah he's been injured or on his way back from injury for a year and a half now.

Never regained his form.

Such a shame because he was fantastic before that abdominal injury. Since then it's been one injury after another.

We already have Albin Ekdahl who is permanently crooked and missing 70% of the games.

Fwiw one of the 2 big Swedish papers are claiming it is a groin strain with Forsberg...

Had the most assists in European top leagues in 16/17 with 22 in 30 league games. And 8 goals as well.

Then the injuries started.

As I said he's pretty much been injured for a season and a half now with one injury replacing another.

His final season in Allsvenskan was great, as was the season in 2nd Bundesliga when they were promoted.

You don't rate him, that's fair enough and he'll never replicate his 16/17 season if he can't stay fit.

Edit: On a side note Forsberg, Nilsson-Lindelöf, Guidetti and Robin Olsen has the same agent, Hasan Cetinkaya.

Hopefully Olsen will not follow suit and pull out of the national side.

He is 28 this year so should be in his prime but for me hasnt got the final product

if he was English he would be Stuart Downing

Well this is going in circles but once again, he's been injured and unable to play 90 minutes for more than the odd game now for more than a year and a half.

He's nowhere near the player he was before these injuries sadly.

Before that he had a stellar season with loads of end product. His stats from that season is very similar to what Jadon Sancho is doing this season at Dortmund.

I bet if Sancho is injured for the next 2 seasons his performances will drop too. Hopefully he will stay fit thou :)

A summary on what's going on:

Quote

What is it going on - who will benefit from this?

Emil Forsberg has gone home now.

Because he thinks that Janne is stupid? Because he's hurt?

Why is everything so strange all the time?

Do you remember when we had discussions about football and group dynamics last spring? Was it just good for Sweden if Zlatan Ibrahimovic wanted to make a comeback, or could something happen to the harmony that had occurred during the brilliant World Cup qualification?

Just over a year later, the national team does not return to chewing gum in the schoolyard. The Daxvax freelance stands straight up and someone has got hold of a cig.

How many data on fractions, tense relationships, disappointment, dysfunctionality and self-justification are too many? When will Paradise Hotel be released from the TV show and replaced by this double-breasted drama?

Back the band to last fall and ask yourself.

Guards the codes for the US nuclear arsenal

Sweden is going to gather, it's just at the beginning of the Nations League. Before the match against Turkey, Emil Forsberg leaves the squad. He is injured, says the union, and travels home to Leipzig. But the German newspaper Bild has other tasks. A "tense relationship" between the midfielder and the union captain should be one of the reasons. Janne Andersson calls him and announces on the following press conference that no , there are no problems. Assistant coach Peter Wettergren goes to Leipzig and checks the situation. Forsberg himself calls the data "fraternities"

Good, next.

Eh, wouldn't believe it. In connection with the same national team collection, Victor Nilsson-Lindelöf and Robin Olsen choose not to talk to the media. A bigger thing for us who guard the national team than for many of you who read, watch and listen safely, but nevertheless a little worrying signal. So how damned secret things should we not ask for?

The collection was once again available via a podium , but with the help of the national team press manager, questions about the club teams, Manchester United and Roma, were shot down. This has continued, albeit low-intensity. When Olsen appeared in the mixed zone for the match against Romania this week, he again refused to answer questions about Roma. I may have missed something, but I was of the opinion that he guarded football goals, not the codes of the US nuclear arsenal.

The union took nothing

At that time, we had already gone through the next background noise: According to the Football Channel, Victor Nilsson-Lindelöf thanked no for the EM qualifying matches for several reasons, including a "somewhat stingy relationship" to Janne Andersson, but also disappointing that his friend John Guidetti was left outside the squad. , it was reported. The union denied, vigorously, again. Lindelöf expects children quite soon and stated via SvFF personal reasons. To me, he has taken quite some of the reports.

A swaying 2-1 victory against Romania later and we arrived at the next stop: Emil Forsberg, exchanged after a little over an hour's play, with his head down and a hopping walk style, did not meet his captain's gaze when he walked off the plan on Friends. It really sounds like an over-dramatic body language interpretation from the stand, but no, he didn't look happy at all.

After the match, both he and Robin Olsen (who had happened to get a pair of AirPods in their ears and maybe not heard the questions?) Refused to talk to the media. It took an hour before Aftonbladet published information that Forsberg was on his way home to Germany again, dissatisfied with being exchanged this time. This newspaper was shortly thereafter reached for information on an injury. The union? Didn't answer anything during Saturday night, took nothing on Sunday morning because Emil was there for breakfast, but finally told him that he was going home. It's the groin.

Who earns this?

You can choose to see this as isolated events, a long line of misunderstandings and unfortunate coincidences, you can also see the pattern and ask yourself what it is that is actually going on.

For me, this is a thing too much. I agree that it is highly unlikely that Swedish and German media will undergo a parallel collapse in news appraisal and suddenly news will be blotted out without any realization of reality. I find it incredibly difficult to decide what would be right and not from case to case, who would benefit from something here, but I note that we are starting to get a national team situation that looks rather embarrassing.

The agent Hasan Cetinkaya is an inescapable common denominator because he is responsible for all the players mentioned above, as well as several others in the national team. He has previously been openly critical of Janne Andersson, but if there is something that cannot be combined, it is who has a purpose with all this.

If someone has the goal of planting the insecurity between the national team's biggest stars and the federal captain, why do it with tasks that throw an unsympathetic light over the players? Why do that with a situation where Janne Andersson is assigned the role of the only person who is not stuck in puberty?

What is behind the scenes?

I do not know, but no matter what the answer turns out to be enough, Emil Forsberg has said it best: Fjanterier.

https://www.expressen.se/sport/kronikorer/noa-bachner/vad-ar-det-som-pagar-det-har-ar-for-mycket/

As I mentioned before, the common denominator is "super agent" Hasan Cetinkaya. But who knows, that might have nothing whats so ever to do with it...

(Google translate might have struggled with this one :D
