Apparently looking into signing John Stones in the summer.

He would be such a perfect fit for them :D

Stones and Luiz or Richards and Lescott. Who would you prefer

They’ll still beat us though.  We haven’t beat them at home since 98.

And when was the last time we got anything at OT? Yet we managed to get a draw there.

Have some faith. Arsenal are dog s***. They are 9th..

We can get at them that's for sure, we should have a bit of confidence going in to it

They have the quality in attack to beat us but at the same time have a shit defence and questionable mentality

We were robbed in the first game and 5 goals sounds about right with those defences... Nil nil incoming... But even that isn't too bad, just get something from them

We weren't really robbed.

They were all over us in the second half. It was coming.

Same against Spurs at home. We need to learn to be good for the whole game not just 1st half

Looking in  as a neutral I still don't think Emery did that bad a job in his first season. He got them to the Europa Final and 5th place. Given the current climate that is probably about as good as Arsenal will get at present, they are not  a top 4 club anymore. Its was more that he couldn't speak English well enough and became a subject of unfair ridicule.  At least he always looked smart in a club suit and tie.

The Arsenal fans are the issue, they have an arrogance because they went unbeaten 15 years ago. Wenger getting 4th every season was really overachieving and are now at the level. Emery did a decent job if a little negative in games.

Bit like some Villa fans they have hopes and ambitions which are not realistic to the current game

We beat Man Utd away in 2009 although haven't' beat them at home since 95 so even worse.

Think we'll need to beat them if we're to avoid having to go to West Ham on final day to win to have any chance.

I think it's a winnable game. We would've won at Emirates if DS had actually strengthened the midfield for last 20 minutes.

If you stop the crosses Aubameyang wouldn't influence things and the rest of their senior players are very mediocre these days. They've won two away games all season and one of those was at Newcastle on the opening day.

This is the problem with a lot of football fans. They don’t see that you can change manager and get worse. They thought Wenger was holding them back for some reason.

Villa fans are typical of that too. “I’m fed up of this, let’s change the manager” assuming it’s a guaranteed ticket to improvement.

It’ll be interesting to see how the next 2/3 years go for Arsenal. Some massively paid players like Ozil and Luiz who are turning in 4 and 5 out of 10 performances. Then the squad of padded out with mediocre who don’t want to be there.

United can afford a major investment spree to get back up the table, and keep doing it year after year. Arsenal are going to be trapped in the middle third for a long time I think.

If Newcastle are bought and big money is spent it’s another club that will leapfrog them.

Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Leicester, Man United, Chelsea are settled in the top 6.
Wolves also look like they might crash that party too.

Top 8 at best it looks like for them.

They're pining it on the next generation like we did from 2010 onwards. Sometimes it works, very often it dosen't unless you've got a good crop of senior pros which Arsenal certainly don't.

Nekeith couldn't get a regular start at Leeds, Willock just looks like a mid table busy midfielder who'll be at Newcastle or West Ham in 2-3 years, same for Reiss Nelson. Guendouzi is a little bit like Douglas Luiz although potential is there with good coaching. Maitland Niles is very average. Saka looks the best of the lot but seems he's stalling on a new deal himself. They also signed a French CB for 20 odd million last summer so he'll be an option for them next season although only 20.

They have the same stale ownership = players who simply don't give a **** = everyone blame the manager cycle that utd are stuck in as well as several other worse clubs so it results in going down, us under Lerner for example

They do have some good youngsters, they do have some good well paid experienced players but honestly you could strip that squad down to 2 or 3 players and start again, the arsenal fans I know even hate the likes of bellerin, but then even that won't work with kroenke still there creating the limbo that has plagued them for nearly a decade now, they have no identity at the top of the club, not sure they can even claim to be the world class leaders of corporate facilities anymore

They're prime candidates to be a team that don't turn up for the restart and lose a string of games simply cos they can't be arsed
