Albert Adomah

This signing would excite me more than either striker we've signed tbh.

Our wide options are awful...we don't have any proper wingers and just shoe-horn in Jack ans Ayew who should be playing centrally. Neither are that quick either.

Adomah has pace so we can actually have things like counter attacks again as Kodija is pretty quick isn't he. So a bit of unpredictability in final third.

Goals aswell....our midfield apart from Jack can't even score in this division. Adomah has scored 31 goals in last 4 seasons so averages 7 a year, best was 12 in 13/14.

Really want him in, think we'll get him today.

Albert is a great winger- perhaps I remember him with a tinted view because he was a bright spark in an awful season, but he is a great winger in this league and appears to have only got better since joining 'Boro.

I do hope you overpay for him too so we can get more from the sell on ;) but I would take him back here if the opportunity arose.

Edit: Didn't read your other post!

Did you have a sell on clause for Bolaise?

You had him and Bolaise at the same time didn't you? I'm pretty sure Bolasie didn't play much in Bristol so Palace took him quite cheaply and now he's 30m rated player.

yeah, it was Adomah who told our scouts to look at Bolasie. during their time here albert was the better player, but Bolasie didn't get as many chances.

The real mystery is why we never played both together, they would have caused any team in the division trouble. Bolasie went to Palace for a few hundred thousand, the only upside being we had a sell on clause related to profit.

If this deal is a straight swap for Traore then I believe we're getting an inferior player with much less upside. Boro are doing very well out of this deal.

I think the problem here Dr is Adama just dosen't want to be here.

Take this season...missed most of pre season injured, RDM named and put him on as sub as soon as he was fit v Rotherham so obviously rates him...and Adama informs him after the game he wants to leave! He then allegedly turned up late v Huddersfield.

We've seen in last few years having those type of players is no good for us.

What I would do is only loan him out...say he rips up the prem for Boro then we'd be in a good position regarding the fee.

Don't see the point in letting him go for 2-3m.

Well, every time I've started a thread about a player this summer within 12 hours they have signed so, welcome Albert Adomah?

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/30/gb-aston-villa-move-for-albert-adomah-back-on/

Quick, strong, six million quid, can't go wrong?

As was noted in the speculation thread he has played in over 40 games in his last 6 seasons, all at this level.

He's 28 years old and has 24 goals and 15 assists in his last 130 games for Boro and has a handy 7.06 rating on WhoScored - https://www.whoscored.com/Players/35328/History/Albert-Adomah

Rookie mistake in fairness,  have you not learned DO NOT BE SPECIFIC when talking about transfer ITK,  it is the first thing they tell you

The one thing that comes across in DDIDs "obligatory YouTube video" apart from looking like Pelé, is his personality, might be the tonic we need around the place as I can see the mood sinking to last seasons levels if we suffer a couple more dodgy results. Get him in!
