GeordieVillan
I expect all of our new signings to play pretty much every game if they are fit. They are RDM's players, he will trust them over the lads who were already here and got us relegated. I think Grealish will be preferred over Ayew if he's doing the business, and once fully fit Amavi will come in at LB. The bench looks pretty good all of a sudden! mikeyp102
For a team who have struggled for goals it's nice to see we have gone a brought a strike force that got over 40 goals last season. Think the back three will work well, giving Amavi more freedom to do what he does best and go forward. Tish and Jedi in the middle. I'd just be concerned about the back up CB for that formation as we all know Baker is made of glass and Elphick is picking up bookings for fun. Good options now for different formations. I didn't include Kodjia because I haven't seen him play but I rate Kozak and Agbonlahor highly and if they are fit I would have no issue with them being our first choice strikers.

alreadyexists Posted September 1, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted September 1, 2016 I wouldn't be surprised if it we go back to a sort of 433, and something like this: Gollini RDL Elphick Chester Amavi Adomah Jedinak Grealish Ayew Kodjia McCormack Not sure what Adomah is like defensively, but hopefully he will have enough about him to give RDL some cover. I'd also be happy to keep Gestede on if the injury isn't serious, and if he keeps knocking them in. I imagine McCormack being allowed pretty much a free role around the box to support the other two, or to get on the end of balls in the box. Zatman
a good first XI but still a crappy squad, if we have players like Westwood starting we still wont get out of this division.....well the right way minimum play-offs for me

Bench would be stronger with Ayew, Gestede, Westwood, Bacuna, Baker, Steer. Would still have Gardner, Cissokho, Richards, Kozak, Mason, Lyden around the squad to. Michael118
I've seen clips of Kodjia as well and wasn't overly impressed. He looks better than Gestede but I'd rather Kozak and Agbonlahor until I see more.

Putting your feelings about Flabby aside for a minute, do you expect him to play again for this club? He's toast... which poses a totally new dilemma for him.
