rodders0223
What is the ruling? If one outfield player is in their own half you are free to kick off? Seems retarded.
TrentVilla Posted November 1, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 1, 2016 Ref needs to have blown his whistle, he needs to warn both teams first I believe. So ref would have needed to have blown, no idea if he had or not. If he did he was really asking for trouble, can you just imagine the game that followed...

The game that would have followed is precisely why they brought a Premier League referee down. To prevent such things. So he'd have completely failed his remit. Thankfully it didn't happen. Demitri_C
If they had scored from that it would have been complete carnage. What a cheap way to score a goal, desperate from the blosers. Well done the nak. Return of the jedinak
Popular Post dont_do_it_doug.
Regardless of the rules or whatever, that act typified his performance. Jedinak 'gets it'. He was a warrior from start to finish, exactly why we signed him and exactly what I hoped he would be. Man of the match. His passing percentage being so low is a weird one, it certainly didn't seem like he was giving the ball away a lot. Perhaps it had something to do with his out ball being Ashley Westwood and a front three who to a man were rubbish. Regardless, keep it up Jedi, that's two and a half games on the bounce he has been the rock upon which our results have been built.

Swerbs
To be fair, Mike Dean told him to do it.
Demitri_C
Hats off to dean, at least he understands fair play unlike those blosers. What a pathetic team trying to score a goal like that, talk about desperation.
rodders0223
There is an article on sky sports about it. So I understand, once all players are in their own half a team can legally kick off...but it is an unwritten 'rule' that you just don't do it. Typical vile behaviour by those set of words removed. sexbelowsound
Was not aware of this. Credit Mike Dean because all hell would have broken loose. Scummy move by a scummy team. Unfortunately for them though it was the wrong player that was called back into their half. No way was Jedinak not going to hold his ground. Popular Post Banger75
some interesting comments from the Australian media regarding Mile, with some insight into how his team mates perceive him in the National team... “You speak to guys inside the camp, you ask about Mile, I understand where a lot of supporters are coming from, but they want him on that pitch. “He might misplace a pass or two here or there but they want him on that pitch. “It’s the intangibles that he provides – presence, toughness, leadership, coolness from the penalty spot".
Davkaus
As much as I'm pleased we benefited, should the ref really be giving our players tips on how not to concede? I'm really surprised that it seems Dean told him to get back over the line so blues couldn't kick off, I'd be absolutely **** fuming if it was the other way around.

Apparently teams adhere to an unwritten rule that you will not kick off until the other side are in place. It would have been lower than shark shit for Sha to have kicked off and Dean just helped ensure that decent sportmanship prevailed.
sexbelowsound
It would have been like poking a bear with a stick had he allowed them to do so as well. Really unwise in such a potentially volatile environment.
AvfcRigo82
I had no idea about this until now.. Mile Jedinak.. I made some comments the other week you where utter useless and another Australian flop. With this move my man you are deemed of redemption and my hat goes off to this act of cleverness and unselfishness. **** top man!
