Popular Post LondonLax Posted August 27, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) What I find rediculous is the amount of people saying we now have such an incredible squad that they can't believe how good it is compared to last years etc 12 months ago people were saying the exact same thing about our signings then. I think a lot of it is blind hope and we don't seem to actually be able to look at things objectively. Signings like Chester, Elphick, DeLaet etc are cast offs from teams who identified they were not good enough for a run in the Premier League. I understand that this is now our level and we are going to have to be patient but it is frustrating to continually read on here about how amazing our team is and how we would have stayed up if we had had this squad last season. The club is rotten, it'll take more than a few months to fix it. I just really hope they can arrest the slide. I'm not sure throwing money around at it will fix it. Rotherham as we saw at VP are also a terrible team. 1 spot to worry about...I'm not too concerned about this but given what we're spending we need to be fighting at the top of the league. Yes, we saw against Rotherham that we have enough about us to beat the worst teams in the league at home. That, plus whatever we can get against better sides, should be enough to keep us away from the relegation battle. But we have started very badly.
