Villa have loads of land at the park of Villa Park, I wonder what will happen? Wiki also says that he supported the 39th game idea- though we have 8 extra games next season but all to be based in Britain lol. He seems to have written his own Wiki page. Very rosy. Build a hotel on the land between the holte & pub. Then we will have a super duper all purpose stadium with excellent transport links and can host concerts/trade shows/boxing etc all year round, not just in the off season. With the hallowed turf protected, the stadium could create a lot more revenue on non match days. I heard from someone who works at Atkins engineering about Randy's previous plans and he said they were similar to Chelsea's shed end with an inbuilt club shop, museum, conference centre, can't remember if he said a hotel also. Plenty of scope for development.

Is it based on current / projected visitors to the city, particularly from China? I think to pull people out of the city and to bulk up both the match day and non-match day package then there has to be something more available to do at or near Villa Park. Short term Xia might not want to do anything big, but if the project catches there's no reason to think he's limited to the land we already own. Building stuff is what he does. The North Stand car park might be reserved for the roof when it's not in use (Just noticed my autocorrect has been uncorrecting Xia's name. Oops)

We are a championship club who have not come in the top 5 for 20 years and unless drastic changes happen I don't think we are going to hit the megaclub jackpot. Promotion and getting 35,000 crowds would do for me.
Villan4Life
Do we not own the land also which the Away Coach Park is opposite Witton Lane?

It's not all going to happen at once.

With the former chairman saying our new owner has ambitious plans for ASTON not just The Villa. Now OK that all might be pie in the sky cow poop but I think people are talking about what might happen if Xia is good to his word and drastic changes ARE on the way. Not sure that's true, I think it was mainly due to the Urbis Building needing a client and therefore Manchester Council paying a wedge to move the Football Musuem into that building. Grasshopper
We could use the land to build a KebabHouse (best in the world - oversized portions) a W-hor-eHouse and an exclusive night club with secret tunnels to Kebab/W-horeHouses. We'd have no problem getting 90% of Gaby's wages back each month for the next 2 years ( then negotiate an extention)

Both are outside of the city centre take today as an example, how many people do you think visited villa park? Maybe a tour, maybe someone booked a meeting, maybe a function tonight, 100 people at best if Tony builds a casino, a hotel, some shops, restaurants, a cinema and a football museum how many people will have visited villa park today? More than 100 that's for sure, it'll get non villa fans, non football fans spending money that will make its way back to villa
sne
And if we build a casino we could give Gabby, Lescott and our other has been's that we can't get rid of jobs as greeters standing around in roman costumes telling visitors about our deluxe specials. (actually, I am one of the 83 people that visited the Citrus tower before Disney bought all that land.) Sometimes, not always, but sometimes, "if you build it, they will come."
