Popular Post R1chuk
As Villa fans we have endured 5 years of negativity from our unwavering support of the club that should bring us great pleasure and enjoyment. Now we are getting rid our an owner that did more damage in his short tenure than Ellis ever managed, and I am old enough to remember the dark days of 86 / 87. We have got used to negativity week in week out, it's time to put all that aside and think of all the positive things that are about to happen to this great club as we move into a new phase of it's existance There may be ups and downs along the way but lets focus on the good times ahead. IwishIwasalivein1982
I'm pumped to go back to Villa park on opening. It just hasn't been worth it the last year but now I'm excited for a season we may not lose every game in
Upper north stander
This thread is what I need !! Can't believe how depressing the takeover thread has become! Im looking forward to what the short/long term future holds tbh it certainly might not be what it seems but I'm just gonna try and enjoy the ride.....UTV
Gary Thomas
I am very happy about the takeover and very hopeful about the future. I think there are going to be some great times ahead for the club. There I have said it.
YGabbana
Welcome Tony Xia. Hope you ignore the boring negative b4stards in the takeover thread if you ever read it
villan-scott Posted May 21, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted May 21, 2016 I'm thankful we've finally been sold. There's always going to be reservations about any new owner. It's a suck it and see scenario. I have a feeling the good times will roll. The first football club to be 100% Chinese owned when they're hell bent on dominating football can only be a good thing in my eyes. Welcome Dr X!
alreadyexists Posted May 21, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted May 21, 2016 Dr X isn't Lerner, yesssss! He wants to get us promoted, yesssss! He wants to make us top 6 in the PL, yesssss! He wants to make us the best known team in the world, yessss! I'm normally miserable and even I'm being positive
Popular Post It's Your Round
I can understand the cautious nature of fans regarding the takeover but now we've finally got rid of Lerner, it's time to be happy! I'm trying not to get drawn into the financial guesswork in the takeover thread etc... I'm no global business expert and I haven't got the time to do the research. I'm simply going to hope for the best until I see anything concrete that would make me think otherwise. Dr Tony's declared intentions sound good; money to spend on transfers, a desire to get promoted quickly, ambitions of European football and hopefully a better idea of how to run a football club than the last chap. Whether we're negative, or whether we're positive, the things being debated are outside our control. I can't choose what happens but I can choose to be happy and enjoy some positivity as a Villa fan. It's long overdue. Peace man, be happy
Tommo_b
Refreshing thread, I like it, too stressful reading through some of the posts in the takeover thread. Nothing to worry about atm, so let's enjoy it and look forward to a promotion push.

VillaChris
I'm looking much more forward to the championship campaign now. Under Lerner I was dreading it as the negativity around the club and on the pitch was still going to be there. Now we can appoint a decent manager and give him good resources to get on with the job. Top 6 minimum and with the expected budget we should be pushing Newcastle for the title.

sir_gary_cahill
We've got some of the best young players in the country coming through at the minute in my opinion. I expect 2 or 3 to have a big impact next season

People like Andre Green and Hepburn Murphy have barely played any minutes in senior football, we haven't loaned them out anywhere so I wouldn't go overboard yet. We should certainly be expecting big things from Grealish next season though. Edited May 21, 2016 by VillaChris
Jareth
The mail article has ratcheted up the excitement for me. Villa is loose change, he's taking over a US company for 3.5 billion this month. I am seriously now of the opinion that this guy has the money to fulfill his vision.

Remember to keep it positive.
