It's not something you just 'forget', perhaps Wyness is the fall guy for a much deeper issue.

99.9% this.

You don't just forget - the funds weren't there.

Just read a mirror story that we took a cut in the amavi and Sanchez money in exchange for an immediate payment to help with cash flow problems in February .

‘Seems xia is not what we hoped for .

Meanwhile, it has emerged that back in February, Villa cashed in future transfer revenue due on Jordan Amavi from Marseille and Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina in exchange for immediate money to help their cash flow.

In a document on Companies House dated February 2, 48 hours after the transfer window shut, the club sold on future income due on Amavi and Sanchez to the Australian Macquarie bank.

I genuinely think the Chinese government stipulations have neutered him.

The funny thing is, this isn't too much of a surprise. When Xia initially took over some of us had misgivings over his actual net worth and the viability of Recon. Some of us also pointed out that Samuelson and Wyness were highly suspect characters who ideally wouldn't be involved with this great club at any stage at all whatsoever.

Shit appears to be hitting the fan. Xia has come in with a dangerous short run strategy that has absolutely exploded on us. It's going to get very ugly. I fully expect years of championship mediocrity and potentially worse.

Yes but their decision making was a billion times better than ours.

They got a top manager, a super agent and good players.

We got Steve Bruce, and a few cloggers.

They also got promoted.... duh.

Hence HUGE windfall, you dont know what their situation might have been had they not.

Are they though?

They didnt spend any more money in jan either.  They could have just got away with it, cruising on the summer transfers.

Prem money will act as fine masking!
