Warner Bros. - now Time Warner. That's those eight - if he's bought one of those I'd be more than a little surprised. There's companies - i.e. production companies, and there are film studios, both major and mini-major. The list above is of major studios. There are minor ones e.g. Lionsgate, the Weinstein company. He'd be investing alongside others. You can buy shares for tens of millions. Co-financing is a deal worth hundreds of millions. This is fascinating stuff from Big T. But all film companies in China are kinda linked and partially-owned and invested by various holding companies, which are then owned by various rich people... so...
