You can read through here: http://www.wzs.org.cn/zszz/zs_zz1701s/201701/t20170105_237743.shtml

Trick is, you have to stop your browser from loading, otherwise it will hide the content (the article you want to read about RECON) and ask you to log in.

I will do a quick manual translation later after I finish my work

Deisler.....can you translate for us?

"Up the Villa"........in Chinese

Tony is a modern man. Well into his tech, social media etc. Despite thinking he should tone down the 'be a MAN' stuff this is a good thing. Because football has evolved, football Twitter in particular is a behemoth.

It's the future and we have an owner who embraces that. Good stuff.

........Is that like a "Bobowler"?:)

Recently, Xia acquired (almost done) two Hollywood companies, one leading company in Action films, and another one is one of the eight companies during the golden era of Hollywood (Note: didn't mention the name of that company.).

  • 20th Century Fox - now owned by 21st Century Fox.
  • Columbia Pictures - now owned by Sony.
  • MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer).
  • Paramount Pictures - now owned by Viacom.
  • RKO Radio Pictures - defunct c. 1957.
  • United Artists - purchased by MGM.
  • Universal Studios - now a part of NBC Universal.
  • Warner Bros. - now Time Warner.

That's those eight - if he's bought one of those I'd be more than a little surprised.

Paramount are for sale. Dalian Wanda attempted to purchase a 49% share last summer. I don't know what happened in the end.

It's not as mad as it sounds if you've got a couple of hundred million lying around.

Edit - I just found the valuation. We're talking billions.

Just trying to figure out which of those would actually be acquirable for a price that would make sense.

We already know that Xia is a shrewd businessman that isn't going to be buying something that offers a poor margin for profit.
