Can somebody give me the lyrics to the Ford Mondeo chant? I tried to join in but the middle bit lost me.

I believe it's along the lines of:

Doctor Tony went to Rome

in a Ford Mondeo,

brought us back a manager,

Robbie Di Matteo.

I'm disappointed.  His tie is far too neat compared to against Wednesday.

Joking aside, that was a lovely gesture from what was a simple tweet.

Hmm I remember the "USA, USA, USA' chants,

Yes things can change and go wrong.  Doesn't mean it will with Tony just enjoy the moment!

Indeed.

To be fair to Lerner he was very good for the first 5 years or so. Then it went pear shaped!

Sorry, but he was nowhere near that good. Dr T is da man!

I love Dr T as much as you but Lerner was very good. Short memory perhaps?

@DK82 covers it off in his post above. He did a lot in his early years

I would also add Restaurant VMF to the list, which I loved to bits. Randy did some great stuff before the fall from grace, and I haven't forgotten that.

But I think Tony has the potential to be a Villa legend for many a year to come. I just hope he can see it through in the long term unlike Randy.

And as an aside, I would love it if he could reinstate VMF, it was great, something unique and something the club could be genuinely proud of.

Yep VMF would be perfect to reinstate.

Fingers crossed the next few years will be good ones for us. We deserve some good!
