Zero chance of promotion at this stage and given the events of the last 6 years unless the club is sold relegation to League One is far more likely. IMO. It's pointless speculating on what would happen if things don't change though because it's very likely that they will. Whether they will change for the better remains to be seen. imavillan
club is sold and new manager installed who can put some discipline in place, then we have a chance club not sold and some ''mouth piece yes man'' put in place as a manager and its no chance, more like another relegation fight boy oh boy, i do hope we are sold and soon

Of course, although not many people are making the kind of definitive predictions for positive outcomes that people are doing with the negatives. It's Your Round
Well if you don't mind, I'm going to boldly predict that we will definitely get promoted. Or relegated, or somewhere in between.

I mean if you literally mean this squad and manager plays next season, then yes. But if you're making the assumption that we'll appoint a different manager and sign a few players, I actually think we have a very good chance of promotion, whilst acknowledging this is Aston Villa and we are more than capable of **** it up. Supervillan78
This all hinges on the 'takeover' if we have new owners who are willing to invest then promotion is real possibility IMO. Edited May 2, 2016 by Supervillan78
Jareth Posted May 2, 2016 Author VT Supporter Share Posted May 2, 2016 I still see promotion possible with no takeover - get a promotion specialist manager in, ship out all last year's buys for 30%ish loss (so £35 mill back), ship in the best of the championship and blend with our youth = different club altogether with Hollis at the reigns and Randy sat the other side of the atlantic waiting for a buyer. The Fun Factory
No takeover= lower mid table/ relegation A messy take over at the start of the season or after= mid table/play off at best A sensible takeover with sensible owners= playoffs/automatic. Stevo985 Posted May 2, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted May 2, 2016 As bad as things are, we won't get relegated again. I think some people don't realise how shit the teams are at the bottom of the championship.
HAL
if we dont get taken over then we dont get promoted and I worry about dropping even more :I
Razor
No chance as things stand. Even with a new manager and 7 or 8 signings we will probably still finish midtable.
