Villareal's home record in euro competition must be ridiculous, especially against English teams. I remember back in their champions league days likes of Man. United and Arsenal could never beat them.

Still it's Anfield next week so you write Liverpool off at your peril although they could've done with an away goal.

yes they have had a narrow lead in all the home knockout games this year and managed to do the business away from home.. See Barcelona are set to activate the buyback clause on Dennis Suarez for only 2.5 mil euro. Rediculous low figure for a player of his skill.

Ex barca too

City buying him then selling him should end the buy back option shouldn't it? I can't understand why city would transfer that option to Villarreal

He started at Celta/Man City and Barca bought him so they were entitled to add in the buy back option

Went to the usual club after playing football tonight, caught the 2nd half, we had a full blown 10 minute explanation to a group of Liverpool die hards as to why that goal wasn't offside, it was getting embarrassing at times

The "Confused" thread in the Clearing in the Woods forum would drive you mad then ;)

Would it be a good move for Suarez though. Villreal are a good club to play for, he's a first team player which he wouldn't be at Barcelona and we seen what happened with Vietto at Atletico. I love watching Marcelino and Klopp. Two of the most interesting touchline managers along with Simeone.

Marcelino is a great manager, did a brilliant job at Racing and think was linked with Newcastle when they got Kinnear instead :crylaugh:went a bit off the radar after a while and good see him back near top of Spanish football again

Didn't know about him but he was great value on the sideline last night :D  Enjoyed his performance more than the 2 teams.
