Well Comolli spunked £35m up the wall on Andy Carroll so £500m won't last 5 minutes :P

In fairness even Benteke is looking like a "spunking up the wall" at Pool now, not sure how this relates, but yeah. lol

Right, so do we know anything about these Chinese bidders?

If the Pearson rumours are true, is it fair to say they are as bad as Randy at picking managers?

The thing with Chinese Owners is why us and why now?

When people think of Chinese buyers they (i'm presuming) think of wealth. So why would they buy a club that's in all kinds of shit who aren't even in the top division?

A Chinese consortium could be very exciting. It surprises me to think we'd be the first English club to be under Chinese ownership, particularly given their ambitions to invest in football

I'm still wondering if the people moaning the most about "alleged" managers realise that we are now a CHAMPIONSHIP club, and don't have a large Pool of high pedigree managers dying to join us. Takeover or not.

Cheap bargain if they can get it right.

Chinese owners.... The world's most populous country must have, or be able to produce, a premier league footballer. If the kid is any good at all the shirt sales will be off the charts. Even shit like snooker gets 200 million viewers!

Just been doing a bit of searching:

This happened http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2068932-sochaux-relegated-after-final-day-defeat-against-evian 'Sochaux Relegated After Final-Day Defeat Against Evian'

Then This happened https://www.soccerex.com/news/2015/07/fc-sochaux-confirm-chinese-takeover 'FC Sochaux confirm Chinese takeover '

And then this happened http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35019718 'French media observers say it is unlikely that Ledus will be able to build a fan base in China around the club, rather that the new owners are using Sochaux as a vehicle to develop the Ledus brand in France and Europe'

........And the club currently sit towards the bottom of Ligue 2.

Can't we just sign Ding Junhui then? The 200 million extra viewers will come in handy. Mark Williams might get anothet shot at the semi and have his 13-3 thrashing wiped from the records, and lets face it, he is probably as good as half our squad.
