Would anyone have Paul back?

Different owner, money, he was a success at Norwich, looking for a club..

For the record, I sure as hell wouldn't. He probably sure as hell wouldn't.

said it before but we need an arrogant manager who is not afraid of the club. We have had too many managers overawed by the challenge and if honest our more successful managers in recent times from Saunders, Big Ron, Gregory and even MON were not nice guys, Little and maybe Taylor are the exception

I'd take Paul back,  the Paul of four years ago.  He's changed by the experience and I doubt he'd come back here

Ive heard he shouts at the players, and runs a very tight dressing room, and instils discipline , we don't want any of that here......

Get a little namby pambly softly spoken bloke, with beige chinos, then the utter amazement when players start mis behaving\ not trying kicks in

Taylor didn't stand no messing about.

Problem is the 'hair dresser' manager is very in vogue at the moment. Its painful that people who could see through this  (Bernstein, King, Hollis) have either departed or will do shortly - Weve got another 3 seasons or so  of head scratching and 'player not pulling his weight' shockers  before they wise up....

No to arrogance, no to 'hard men', no to all such bollocks. Football & bullshit 'masculinity' have gone hand-in-hand for far too long.

We must have a hard man to sort those workshy gits out! We must have no-nonsense man who says it like it is and doesn't put up with PC nonsense! We must have some arrogance back at the club because we are too nice (and implicitly, not manly enough).

In some senses I get it; after a spell of impotence, fans want a bit of Viagra to restore the cock/club to full throbbing hard on; to be strong and dominant. You can see this in politics too; a country is believed to be in decline, or 'losing', and a strong man turns up and promises to put things right and restore to country to former strength.

But that is all nonsense. Just get someone who knows what they are doing and stop talking like it's 1970.

Sadly though a lot of footballers aren't model pro's - they have £30k a week in there pocket and time on there hands - they will challenge the manager and test him whenever they can. The names will change, but the basic fact that some sort of discipline need to be instilled remains. If you think RDM can do that ..fine.

Nigel Adkins 50/1 No Been sacked by Sheffield United for failing to get promoted to Championship, why on earth would Villa want him?

Took Southampton from League One to the Premier League a few years ago to great plaudits. Certainly no worse a record than Pearson or di Matteo.

He also had a huge budget for the leagues. 1million for Rickie Lambert in League 1

Honestly no.

The way it's all sounding from the media is Xia wants RDM, Hollis has tried to convince him of Pearson and Wyness probably put Moyes in the frame.

All speculation but I'm convinced it'll be RDM now.

That sounds about right but I have my doubts about RDM being up to what will be a very, very tough job.
