Oh wow.. I really hope he's fit for the game. It really is our luck that he'd pick up something after his incredible performance on the weekend.

Luckily Hogan is coming off a very good cup match, but ideally you want to stick with what has worked. I also worry that we won't play the way we did in the cup aka balls on the ground, and looking for a pass.

Bruce's tactics against Norwich were identical to what we have been doing so far, expect now we have Davis who was able to win flick on headers, and hold up the ball. If we play like that with Hogan, I can guarantee we will lose. Hogan is not strong enough, and then we will constant give up possession until ultimately the other team scores.

Are we not over reacting slightly? Yes he had a superb game against Norwich, but we shouldn't be pinning all our hopes on a kid who has had one good game.

I don't think it's necessarily "pinning all our hopes" on him.

He was integral to bringing other people into the game against Norwich.

If we had another striker we could count on to do the same job then fair enough.

Gabby has been used to do that, but his awareness, passing, ball control and so on is not the same obviously.

Hogan is a good striker, but if we end up going back to hoofing up top we will have no one to bring it down and flick it on.

So hopefully we play it on the deck and our midfield and wingers can do the rest.

Although it could also present a chance to see Ross and Hogan.

No we shouldn't.

but equally, isn't it crass to ignore it.

The big thing with youth is being able to demonstrate to all and sundry that when given the opportunity you show you can do it.......the next phase is consistency.

its baby steps and progression....... not instant gratification.

Villa winning is like porn for the soul. I want the instant gratification!

He couldn't get into it for the first half hour but was very good after that. For a youngster he is very good at drawing defenders to open up space for the pass. I'm sure Hogan would love to play off him.

Yes play him with Hogan and we'll see the best of Hogan.
