Villarocker Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 If (I mean when but trying not to look like thrown the towel in) we go down, what will your reaction be towards the players? Obviously, this question is aimed more at those poor folks who will witness our relegation in person. If it's confirmed on a match day and you are there, will you react towards the players, the board, both or, neither? The same question is aimed at our game that follows afterwards.
Popular Post dont_do_it_doug. Posted January 24, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2016 No. I'm not a **** moron. I can control my negative emotions. Whether others will boo depends on whether they go down swinging or not. If they keep playing as they are, with desire and hope even if most of our fans have lost theirs, then nobody should boo and I doubt they will. 18
Mantis Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) No, although I've always said that I won't celebrate the first goal we score that I witness in person when we're in the Championship. Weird I know. Edited January 24, 2016 by Mantis

Daweii Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I won't boo the players and as far as next-season goes it's a clean slate, I will cheer us in the Championship.. Hell I'd cheer us scoring a goal even if we were in the Vanarama National League. 2
sexbelowsound Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 No, Hopefully Randolph gets a rousing chorus of 'Randy Lerner, what a rocket polisher' however. 1
Popular Post supermon Posted January 24, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2016 I'll have a banner saying "**** off Linekar, hello Manish" If we're rolling out of the premier league then I'm going down guns blazing 13
ferguson1 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 No! Firstly, what would the point as I think they (the players) and the board already know that we arn't happy. Secondly, I'm sure if and when that day comes it will hurt them also, whether that be for some mentally and/or financially!! At least we appear to be trying to get out of this mess now with a bit fight, organisation etc - albeit late!
dudevillaisnice Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 No, I'd chanting "Remi Garde's claret and blue army" instead. We need a saviour, he seems like the only one we have in what is a circus run by clowns. 3
Popular Post dont_do_it_doug. Posted January 24, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2016 I hate booing. I really **** hate it. I think it's ridiculous. There are exceptions ego deserve that kind of contempt, such as Fabian Delph, but generally it makes me die a little inside every time. There must be "booers" who are reading this now. Despite appearing like I've already made my mind up if genuinely like to know what you get from it? 7
TheMightyVillans Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 If we play like we have the last couple weeks until the end of the season then there should be no booing towards the players. Hate should be directed to the scum of an owner we have.
Popular Post Sam3773 Posted January 24, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2016 Booing is pointless. I do, however, love the idea of going against the grain and get the whole of Villa Park singing something like "Remi Garde's Claret and Blue army" or simply chanting "Villa!" The deadweight won't care that we booed. The people who have tried to keep us up will take note of us singing our hearts out. Might even inspire one or two to stay on. 7

I'll be up for that especially if no attempt is made for a striker this week! Going down is one thing, the board waving the white flag in January is another altogether. Especially when Garde needs all the bodies he can get fighting for the cause. As ddid mentioned if the players continue trying and battle to the end it would be wrong to boo them imo. I think the owner and the board are very much fair game though after the ast 5 years and I would be disappointed if the fans didn't let them know just how bad they really are regardless of what they do and don't know. They deserve a little humiliation from the stands. 1
useless Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 If I was there I wouldn't boo, because I'm too cool. But I wouldn't think too harshly on those that do they're just registering there frustration and anger in an audible manner. I imagine there would be a lot of tears and banners too, there's going to be a reaction to such a big event. 3
KevinRichardsonsMoustache Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 When Charles I was executed in 1649, witnesses describedthe crowd letting out a sort of sigh, i imagine we'll have something similar and then, I hope, most of the people with brains cheering a team that, again I hope, has put some effort in.
Supervillan78 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Boo? I wouldn't waste my breathe. I might mumble in disapproval but that's about it. 1
spiezels Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'll have a banner saying "**** off Linekar, hello Manish" If we're rolling out of the premier league then I'm going down guns blazing Please make that banner
mikeyp102 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'm not a big booer but if they go down with a whimper and no fight then yes I probably will boo. However if I see a continued effort and fight then no they won't deserve a boo.
