Popular Post pacbuddies
5 games without defeat. A couple of clean sheets in there too. We are only a decent goal scorer away from saving our PL status. We can't give up yet.

Nigel Posted January 23, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 23, 2016 How many more times are we gonna get fecked over by incompetant refs? Why wasnt that first half challenge a penalty? Thats the only question id like to ask him after the game. No lynching session, no grilling...just accountability!
a m ole
Albion only wanted a 0-0 draw and they got it. Very hard to beat a team doing that. Still unbeaten, still need points. Still need a new centre forward.
penguin
All fine until the final third, every other team has a goalscorer we don't. Not buying one this month will be our downfall.

rjw63
Should have won...15 attempts on goal, they didn't have any on target, over 60% possession, it all means **** all if you can't score goals.
bose
Bacuna is just not a Premier League player. At least not in midfield. On another note is very evident that our fitness has improved a lot because we're finishing games much more strongly than before.

briny_ear
I think that helps to start clearing up the debate (if there ever was one) about whether the players are not trying hard enough or just not good enough. They tried very hard today. So...
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted January 23, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 23, 2016 Unbeaten in five. It's not what we've done this month that's put us where we are Watching us play teams that we're better than but won't be in the same division as next year is frustrating - but once you dig a hole as deep as we have, you've got to live with that. We were the better side - we're not very threatening upfront - but we do control games pretty well, as a balance, that's better for us than the other way I think and I believe we're a better side now than we've been at any other time of the season - it's too little too late, but it's something. So yeah, disappointed we didn't win, pissed off at where we find ourselves, but not going to get too angry about today's performance. Is this our third clean sheet?
thunderball
OK, we don't look terrible any longer, I don't fear every attack the opposition makes. We desperately lack quality in the final third, as if we didn't know. I think Remi has officially turned it around. As much as he or any one else can. We just need money for decent creatives/scorers.
KJT123
Really can't fault the lads' effort today, we dominated the game and really pushed for that winner late on. Unfortunately, that clearing in the woods Lerner won't shell out for a striker, and that is the reason why we are going to get relegated this season. Fair play to Garde, I think he has this team playing at their best at the moment. He must be pulling his hair out at the thought that a solitary player could make the difference between survival and relegation. Defence was solid today. I thought Gana and Westwood were superb. Kozak isn't good enough.

Credit to Garde, he's got us looking solid at the back, passing the ball and playing for each other as a team. We just need to score goals, and with the tools at his disposal that's going to be hard. Depending where Adebayor's head is at, I think we could do worse than get him in for 6 months. Everything but the Adebayor part is spot on. Jareth Posted January 23, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 23, 2016 A point closer to safety. As long as we stay unbeaten, the confidence grows. Boy do we need our board to put up some cash.
supernova26
Lets be fair we did boss that match they didn't even have a shot on target. Gill was good on the counter every of their attacks got broken up.......up front obviously lacking....Ayew is a winger/midfielder he doesn't play like a forward at all........this results sucks because they were completely shite. DeadlyDirk
We looked really good today, absolutley battered them, but if you haven't got anyone who can put the ball in the net then it's all for nothing. WE NEED A STRIKER!!!!!
