theboyangel Posted January 19, 2016 Share Posted January 19, 2016 poor first half attacking wise, both Grealish and Sinclair shied away from their physical players and were poor on the ball. gana was the difference as he drove forwards from midfield and took the game to them. Was very pleased to see him get on the score sheet. credit to ayew for trying all game, especially alongside the pedestrian gestede and hide and seek specialist Sinclair. praise too to lydon, who whilst a centre mid acquitted himself well with an assured, mature and determined performance. finally, we have some proper mongs amongst our fanbase, I heard the first shout of clearing in the woods within 34 seconds and it didn't stop there. The Fun Factory Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Underwhelming performance, but finally got the win. Played better when we put on some first teamers of Gill and Gana. I don't think the performance has got Garde thinking the reserves can challenge a starting XI position yet. I though from the starters Sinclair and Ayew were okay and Lyden had a solid Villa Park debut. Guzan did one good save but he is still suspect in the penalty areas and his kicking has gone to pot. Grealish has no confidence and Gestede still looks bad versus a league two side. Fair play to Wycombe they gave it a good go and could have scored in all honesty. 20,000 not a bad turnout given the circumstances and our 4 unbeaten run continues. Bring on Albion and City.
