Honest bunch of lads
No pressure on the freekick or cross that led to the 2nd Sunderland goal. Vertout just standing there. Reminded me of when he couldn't be bothered to sprint back for Arsenal's 2nd goal. Look at how hard teams like Leicester and Watford work Villa players need to put that kind of effort in. hoaxn
I'm interested in who you guys think was to blame for their first. Should Hutton be closing him down? Should Micah be closing him down so Hutton is still free to mark the wide player on the wing? Should a midfielder be tracking back (I think Gana was closest, but he was half arsed jogging back at the time of the shot)? I cant decide. Maybe the players can't either, because we keep getting into the same situations every game and nothing is changing.
tinker Posted January 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2016 1st goal was just bad luck for me, deflection from a long range shot, 2nd was poor keeping and niave defending , 3rd was just the same type of defending. Bacuna was my motm for us , stuck some nice balls and was a handful, I think he should play in the midfield. Gana, while busy he was ineffective. Gill..dear oh dear how he was shown up for being weak on the ball but the fore arm smash right in front on the ref was at least a yellow card, the ref should be lambasted for that. Taroes tackle that earnt him his yellow card was another strange decision as well , never a yellow .
