O.k so that's the sort of odds you bet on then....I actually do similar.

I tend to bet on the timings of goals....e.g look at a high scoring match and there should be some goals that are scored near the end of 10 minute periods like 18th minute, 49th minute.

So if you bet in play on Bet 365...sorry 265 they have a market where even high profile teams who score a lot like Arsenal and Man. City can be 14/1 to score in the next 5 minutes so that's the market and odds I tend to play at. The problem I have is when games end 0-0 or 1-0...that knackers me it's fair to say!

On Tennis I like betting on players to break serve...anyone playing Raonic is always 10/1 at least. Seppi playing Djokovic today was 12/1 in most games. Incredibly frustrating though when those players get break points and screw up, not a good idea if you haven't got much money in the bank.

I think betting against Djokovic is an easy way to loose money as how often does he loose these days. I backed Federer @ 10/1 and Murray @ 6/1 to win the Australian open but I know full well Djokovic will win it. He's so far ahead of the rest. A good bet would have been betting on a Murray - Djokovic final as I think they have met in the last 3 out of 4 finals there.

As I've said it's better to back an opponent to break serve, how often did Djokovic lose his serve v Giles Simon for example?

That said you can lose a big amount over 3/4 sets if you keep on whacking tenners and the big servers just keeps holding....I stupidly did that once. Got lucky the other day as did whack a tenner on David Goffin to break Federer's serve and he actually did right at the end, think it was 16/1,

Update:

There's now a video on www.matchedbettingblog.info that Briony has done after her first month's experience with matched betting. If you are still on the fence because you are sceptical, this might be the push you need.

There's still time to get on this weekend's bets and make some easy money!

Have looked in to the websites you have recommended and also been reading about matched betting in general. Have to say I'm amazed I haven't known about this until now.

If you've got a fair bit of time to put in to it each day, what's the ceiling of the amount of money you can make every month? I'm going to get started with it and see how I progress.

Hi SpanishVilla,

Are you from the UK? I have to ask because if you are based in Spain, then I don't think you can make nearly as much as in the UK unfortunately.

If you are from the UK, then you are good to go! The amounts vary quite a lot. The most I've seen someone earn in a month is £4,069. A guy called Tom in Mike's group made this. You can visit that link and scroll down to see his spreadsheet earnings per month for 2 years. He managed over £50k in that time. This is exceptional I'd say and full time.

So, maybe £500 a month is easier to first aim for... Something like this. See it as an extra side income at first.

Yeah I'm in the UK Ben. I was reading some blogs and websites about the earnings and was finding some of them hard to believe, but I suppose if you are doing it full time every day then it all adds up.

Do you do the casino and bingo offers too? One of the sites I was reading (this one) the guy had hit some big wins with both last year which contributed to his very large overall total.

I'm keen to get going but I also read somewhere that with the Cheltenham festival in March bookies increase the sign up offers that week, is that right? If so it might make sense to hold off and get a bit more cash from them then perhaps?

Yep, I find it hard to believe, but with some big wins, his may be possible. There's better sites to do it on than he recommends. But to be fair, he took action and reaped some rewards!

I don't do the casino and bingo offers as much as Mike's group does. Mine is more an entry into it. You'll make around £500 from my system that gives you enough to upgrade to Mike's club and have money left to keep investing.

Pre Cheltenham offers have actually already started coming out today, so I would say to get started now, as they offer both reload and sign up offers. Some matched bettors that I know start building their bank now and book a week off work to allow them to fully concentrate on cheltenham and make as much as possible from it. You aim to make £1k in the week of Cheltenham without any sign up offers. It's one off (If not the) biggest matched betting event of the year. Lots of fun, get involved! :)
