Admire from a distance?? Have you got a restraining order in place or something? I think he's off to Burnley but he'd be a good signing unfortunately there isn't a loan window anymore. Another stupid UEFA change. It was the perfect thing to stop lower league clubs overloading on players they can't afford. Why would a club loan out a player who will get very little playing time, and why would a player come here to sit on the bench? Would like us to get a young CB, ideally with championship experience and plenty of scope to develop. I would be looking at mid-table teams like Preston, Blackburn, Ipswich and Cardiff who had pretty good defenses last year. Amavi/Cissokho Elphick/Chester/Baker/De Laet Bacuna/De Laet with Hutton/Richards/Lescott and Okore still on the books. Even the exits look on track, we're quickly getting our Villa back. The Doc's commitment to the cause and exactly what's needed bodes well if we get promoted.
