Liverpool attacking midfielder Luis Alberto is set for a loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, according to Turkish sports website Fotospor.

Geez. If hes available for loan? Alberto Viviani and Hernandez would do nicely!! Bit greedy :P

---------------------Gollini-------------------------

De Laet-----Chester------Elphick-----Amavi

------------Viviani---------Jedinak---------------

----Ayew----------Alberto-------McCormack--

-------------------Hernandez--------------------

Subs: Bunn, Baker, Bacuna, Westwood, Grealish, Tishbola, Gestede

Depth.... quality would even be decent in the premier league. May need anther CB if/when Okore/Richards go.

I'm speculating. But the loan, Bamford?

in a kinda, "I'll come to you but only if I dont get any better (prem league) offers" way

I'm a fan of bam ford But even I have to admit, if he really wanted to come he would have been here by now, and also, if Tony says the loan is unpredictable that could kind of be like the above , in terms of well Tony / villa have laid cards on table and someone is delaying playing their hand. If that is bamford I can understand it 22/23 years old I would want to be playing at the highest level possible and waiting for offers, but if someone wants you AND they're going places then that's not that much of a step down. I'm resigned to no Bamford which may prove to be no loss at all, my own opinion is he could achieve great things here. Other than that I can't even guess what loan may be stalling / difficult. But trust in the infrastructure.

Close to done on the winger / amc sounds like a flexible AMR / AMC , nacer chadli ahem random

ill deffo get me coat good night

I would love for Bamford to come here- I've admired him from a distance for some time now and really believe he has the ability to go all the way to the top- I suspect your right and he's holding out for an offer from the prem- if this doesn't materialise, could we still get him in the loan window anyway?

Admire from a distance?? Have you got a restraining order in place or something?  I think he's off to Burnley but he'd be a good signing  unfortunately there isn't a loan window anymore. Another stupid UEFA change. It was the perfect thing to stop lower league clubs overloading on players they can't afford. It would've been good for us especially to get unhappy PL players in after the windo closed.

Might be difficult finding a CB to come here on loan knowing they will be 4th, possibly 3rd choice at best.

Why would a club loan out a player who will get very little playing time, and why would a player come here to sit on the bench?

Wonder what Thiago Illori is doing these days?

Would like us to get a young CB, ideally with championship experience and plenty of scope to develop.  I would be looking at mid-table teams like Preston, Blackburn, Ipswich and Cardiff who had pretty good defenses last year.  See if we can find a rough diamond to work on.

or an experienced old hand, who's not shot like Lescott who's happy to be part of the squad. No particular names in mind, however.

It is weird we've loaned out all our young centre backs and less weird that we are flogging the flops. Who will come in if Elph or Chester get injured?

Your forgetting Bacuna can play centre back

Unless I've missed something, aren't the Sun (and those quoting the Sun) the only ones talking about that? There not exactly the best source for truth...

The Sun actually call most of our transfer...their Midlands reporter is pretty in the ITK.

I know we'd been linked with De Laet for weeks but they specifically said we'd be signing him this week....and he was ITSOTP a few hours later. It was the same with Jedinak and Vlaar years back.

They're far more reliable than the Mirror (have they ever got a rumour right) and the Mail.

So would imagine Okore is probably moving on but is in process of travelling to Copenhagen so nothing announced officially just yet.

He will probably get injured on the flight

The loan would be a defender I reckon....unpredictable as I doubt all three of Okore, Richards and Lescott will leave...one will stay and be 4th choice until January.

If they all go then we'll loan a CB in probably a younger one as Chester-Elphick looks an unbreakable combo to me at this level.

De Laet is here to be a utility defender/starting right back imo.

that leaves us with.

Amavi/Cissokho

Elphick/Chester/Baker/De Laet

Bacuna/De Laet

with Hutton/Richards/Lescott and Okore still on the books.

Im not convinced that even with all 4 of the above departing we will bring in another defender.

Wouldnt mind Federico Viviani. Seems like a very capable DM who is a set pieces specialist. Would compliment Tishbola and Jedinak in a midfield three and allow Tish to do his thing and get forward. Westwood and Gardner as back up. Or if we sign an AM as well be brilliant.

The Doc said it was an AM so I think this rules out Viviani - can't we have them both? ;-)

Could be Morrison, he is the one seemingly looking for a move. Him, Hernandez and Bamford would be a 'mission accomplished' window, I don't think anyone could have wanted more given the comprehensive overhaul required. Even the exits look on track, we're quickly getting our Villa back.

The Doc's commitment to the cause and exactly what's needed bodes well if we get promoted. No messing around!
