Why is everyone so fixated on 4-5-1/4-3-3. Ayew is wasted playing out wide and Grealish has trouble affecting the game no matter where he plays. I think we need McCormack and Ayew up top and then lock things up at the back. Those 2 will generate goals, but what we really need is to stop conceding nonsense goals, therefore 2 banks of 4 until this lot get themselves sorted out.

Grealish is definitely wasted on the wings.

Id play the following side if signings come off.

                            Gollini

De laet     chester    elphick      amavi

                  Thish     jedinak

Traore             ayew            grealish

                         Mcscoremack

442/451

Traore should rip this league up has to play for me his pace is awsome.

Agree.

I think a 4-3-1-2 Ancelotti style would be even better. 1 midfield enforcer, 2 central guys turning things over and Grealish in the hole behind the front two.

Gollini

De Laet Elphick Chester Amavi

                    Jedinak

        Tish.          Westwood

                Grealish

      Ayew.      RMac

Looks pretty solid to me

What about 4-4-2:

Gollini

De Laet - Elphwick - Chester - Amavi

Bacuna - Tshibiola - Jedinak - Grealish

Ayew - McCormack

Bacuna appears to have won RDM over but that looks a lot better 1st team than before. Also could play as a 4-3-3:

Gollini

De Laet - Elphwick - Chester - Amavi

Bacuna - Tshibiola - Jedinak

Ayew - McCormack - Grealish

Or a 4-2-3-1:

Gollini

De Laet - Elphwick - Chester - Amavi

Tshibiola - Jedinak

Bacuna - Ayew - Grealish

McCormack

Versatility :)

5-3-2

                           Gollini

             Chester Elphick  Baker

De Laet                                      Amavi

             Tish Jedinek  Westwood

                 Ayew   McCormack

Replace Westwood with a decent midfielder (Ravel Morrison) and that would be a pretty decent team.
