not a fan of us signing Kodjia. Seems like a one off Gestede style season. For 20 million surely theres a decent proven goal scorer in Europe we could get.

Not many proven goal scorers will want to play in the championship when they don't have to. Also is it less of a gamble to bring someone in to a strange league and expect them to hit the ground running? That's why we are having to pay the money.

Wishers on loan anyone? Wenger will allow him to leave.

Arsenal are willing to let England midfielder Jack Wilshere go out on loan to get first-team football.

The 24-year-old, whose career has been plagued by injuries, only made three appearances for the Gunners last season after fracturing his left fibula.

He played six times for England over the summer - including three games at Euro 2016 - but was not named in Sam Allardyce's first squad this week.

Arsenal paid £35m for Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.

Wilshere, who has 34 caps, has only started 80 Premier League games for Arsenal, making two substitute appearances so far this season.

He had a loan spell at Bolton in 2010.

Wilshere has less than 48 hours to find a loan club before the transfer deadline. He could be the second established England international to move on loan this summer, with Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart set to move to Italian side Torino.

Before people say, yes there are likely a score of premiership teams after him and why would he drop to championship but maybe worth a punt? Would likely improve the midfield and he would get the first team football to prove his fitness. Could be beneficial for all parties.

There is no point even putting this in this thread, as there is more chance of Nigel Farage winning a gold medal in weight lifting than this happening.

Saw the story, seen a lot of rubbish in this thread. Know Tony is trying to get a star signing and this is a position (albeit not priority) that needs strengthening.

Why would anyone want him?

Better than Westwood? ;)

The bottom paragraph says that we signed Gollini on a free transfer, so that tells you how ITK Sky are

And basically leaves out the fact we signed McCormack. Great, factual reporting obviously!
