Stevo985 Posted December 7, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 7, 2015 I still can't believe Whiplash was actually good. Must get around to watching that. The trailer is one of the worst I've ever seen so I'm surprised it's got such favourable reviews. Interesting shout for the Gift. I acquired that on the weekend based on nothing but a favourable Rotten Tomatoes review. i know literally nothing about it so looking forward to watching it. Can't do a top 10 for my own personal movies. But The Martian, Selma and Ex Machina are what come to mind.

maqroll
I've seen about six 2015 films, and Fury Road was the most entertaining. Spotlight was the most engrossing. Trumbo had the best acting (with the exception of Louis CK)...The Martian was overhyped garbage. Spectre was underrated, IMO, for a Bond flick. choffer Posted December 7, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 7, 2015 Life seems to have got in the way of my movie-watching this year. Feels like I've seen only a fraction of the number that I've seen in recent years. There's so much I've wanted to see but not go around to. Off the top of my head - and in no particular order: Ex Machina Amy Inside Out Slow West Montage of Heck Red Army Bests of No Nation Taxi Tehran Whiplash Selma

villa4europe
Bit early Spotlight, the revenant and Star Wars still to come and I need to get hold of the assassin, meant to be the best film to come out of China in years, seen nothing of it getting released here Probably mad max for me so far
coda
Sicario and Bitter Lake were my faves. Can see The Revenant eclipsing these but it's 2016 for the European backwater.
