VillaChris
Worrying parallels with Houllier who we waited for a few weeks to draw his pension from the French FA while we lost form in the league....and then we wondered why we couldn't win under him when the team were already on a downward spiral. We're not safe in mid table, we are bottom of the league and can't afford to just toss matches away. Can we not appoint Garde now with the promise we'll get his assistants sorted during the International break? That's obviously the stumbling block, I just want a manager in a.s.a.p. Most other teams when they sack their manager don't play for weeks on end with a caretaker in charge.

jjaacckk91
KMac confirms to the Moose (covered the game for Talksport) that the next Villa manager will be one prominently mentioned recently in the press. Weird,In his interview with ssn he said he's not spoke to the powers that be, and he knows nothing.Crafty bugger.

penguin
Tough one. Time is clearly of the essence but rushing in and getting a sub-par manager cannot happen (again) or we are just as doomed and will just end up repeating ourselves.

For some bizarre reason so many people have already taken it as fact that we won't appoint anyone for 3 weeks.

Popular Post BOF Posted October 28, 2015 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted October 28, 2015 New manager needs to be in place sharpishDefinitely. Although if the choice is the right man with 27 games left or a disappointment brought in with 28 games to go then I'll wait the week.
Blasterpocket68
KMac confirms to the Moose (covered the game for Talksport) that the next Villa manager will be one prominently mentioned recently in the press. no chance sadly, seems to me everyone is banking on another French Revolution to turn our club around because we have a handful of French speaking players , But we first have to wait until he can bring in his own tea lady change and the carpets before he accepts? Great eh
supernova26
I hope instead of throwing the next two games we just sit in our own half with 11 players behind the ball and at least try to get a point Mcleish style.
John
KMac confirms to the Moose (covered the game for Talksport) that the next Villa manager will be one prominently mentioned recently in the press.Garde is one of several potential managers "prominently mentioned recently in the press" although Garde would be the name that springs to mind from this comment. I cannot imagine that those that make the decisions at VP will be happy that KMac has added to the speculation on the identity of our next boss particularly if they have to go to other less mentioned choices later on and he is not in the loop when it comes to being aware of progress or otherwise on their primary target.
