For me its simple were relagated bar the dotting of the i's and crossing of the t's. The only players we should be players for next season. Randy tight bas*ar* lerner could chuck 150mil at this window and i still think wed go down. Randy lerner its "to little to late serves you right you penny pinching yank"

An improvement on Hutton for sure. But given the loan fee and wages we would presumably be paying I don't know if this would really benefit us long term.

Doubt it would be that much for 6 months. Plus it means we wouldn't have to see Hutton play there and that's got to be good for our long term mental health.

Has played 26 games in 2 seasons in Portugal. Unless he injured a lot or happy to get red cards that isnt a good record

To be fair, there is absolutely nothing linking us to him.

The article is about one of our scouts being at a game he was playing in.

They guessed the rest.

This.

However you could also say that they did try to add a couple of those kinds of players, in Richards and Lescott. Hutton is also a leader. However they all play in the same area of the pitch, going forward there is zero leadership, or at least there wasn't until Ayew stepped up and despite being of a decent quality (better than 8 points anyway) our midfield is powderpuff. Not only that but the leadership we have at the back is either mad as a box of frogs or below the required standard.

That and going into the season relying on Gestede when you don't have any wingers is **** criminal. What the hell happened post Adebayor? In order to scrimp pennies they opted not to whack £10-15m down on a desperately needed, experienced striker able to lead the line. They, as a collective, failed. Add in perhaps some of the worst coaching and management the world has ever seen and this is the price we pay.

We should be making any signings now with a view to the championship. Any player who signs will know that's where they will be playing next season. We should also start giving some of the youth a go or at least sending them on loan to that league.

Hartson on talkshite talking about teams in the relegation zone that might take Austin to help them get out of it. He mentioned Newcastle and Sunderland but not Villa. He must think we are ******.

Apparently Lazio want Sender's, if so we could do worse than swap him for Ravel Morrison.

Could we?

Yeh another nutcase that turns up for 1 game in 10 is just what the squad needs

Arsenal to offer Nigerian wonderkid to Aston Villa; Wenger’s favour to old pal Garde

Arsene Wenger is understood to have offered Arsenal‘s Nigerian wonderkid Alex Iwobi to Aston Villa, according toCaught Offside‘s sources.

The talented forward has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, as he looks to secure first-team football.

While the 19-year-old attacker is highly regarded at Arsenal—and has made his senior Nigeria debut since the start of the season—he has struggled to assert himself in Wenger’s plans. He has featured just once so far this term—in the League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday—and he looks set to move away in order to find first-team football.

Birmingham City, Reading and Sheffield United are all understood to be keen on taking the West African forward on loan [Mirror], although the lower-league sides look set to miss out on the forward who could move to another Premier League side.

Current Villa boss Remi Garde played under Wenger at Arsenal, and the two men are understood to cultivate a close relationship, with the Gunners boss set to offer his friend one of his talented young players in order to help stave off the threat of relegation.

Even for a wonderkid as talented as Iwobi, this may be a big ask, with the Villains currently rooted to the bottom of the table, and a whopping 11 points from safety.

It would be a big ask if they sent us Cech, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott and Giroud.

Looking at some of the premier league squads Ayew can quite easily get a move to a better club in this league. Lukaku and Ayew instead of Kone. Palace for example Zaha - Ayew - Bolasie. Other clubs too. We will do well to hold on to him to be honest, probably something for the summer.
