Transfer Speculation January 2016

Is Zog the cause of all of our problems? That's it: this is a master stroke. Top-four form from now on. Would love it if his toxic presence was such an issue.

Glad to see the back of him if true: he's a waste of skin at the moment.

i have an issue though: we can't plough his wages into any other players at this stage. It's actually a sign of intent on Sunderland's part: taking a punt on a mercurial talent who everyone knows is overpaid but has some talent in his locker when he can be bothered. It's a risk but they're actually trying! We're just getting our books 'in order'.

What a successful window. We've removed the wages of Cole, Senderos, Ilori and possibly N'Zogbia. We've loaned out a few others too so their wages will be at least sibsidised. Do you think we could get rid of anyone else, surely there are a few more cuts we could do.

We've added another level of management/ figure head too. Genius.

All these other clubs thinking you have to invest in your squads... how silly of them. You sit pretty at the bottom of the league, focus on as much cost cutting as possible and watch everyone else implode as we climb the league! It's so obvious and will be the way all clubs are run soon. It's called the Ostrich Approach.

Ayew, Amavi, Veretout, Gana, and more likely than not Traore (ie. the ones we spent proper money on) - are not shite and will go on to be very good premier league players with other clubs. It's the rest of the dross we have due to years of neglect and a clueless manager last summer that have us where we are now.

Those players you've listed haven't been good enough either. They've shown glimpses but they've been poor too. I mean it took Veretout 4 months to look like he'd played football before. 8m quid
