Absolutely appalling from the Manager.

I never want to see Westwood, Hutton and Lescott in a Villa top again. As soon as Okore is fit Richards needs to go to RB until one can be purchased. Sinclair needs a kick up the arse and Sherwood needs sacking.

The scoreline flatters us. Liverpool weren't the better team so much as we were the worse. We barely seemed to care about the scoreline; there was no urgency in our play until we bought on Traore - which, in yet another tactical masterstroke by our Dear Leader, wasn't until we were already two goals down. it's like we're being thrown into a lions den and Tim's plan is to hope the lions tire themselves out eating us.

I thought I was done being this angry at football. Thanks a lot, Sherwood.

Such a weird football game. Absolutely zero urgency from our players and it looked as though we were instructed not to attack. Even in the second half when we scored the second goal, we could've rode the wave of the momentum but instead we sat back with ten men behind the ball. Every time the camera panned to our bench, all of the staff were sitting down, no shouting or instructions to the players to get forward. We could've won that easily. I think there is something wrong behind the scenes, both the players and staff looked unusual today.

Poor.

We don't look like we've come up with a shape we're comfortable in. that's partly because our two goal striker isn't good enough, partly because our midfield is very same-y and partly because the manager hasn't figured out what to do with the pieces in the box yet.

We look too open and teams will score against us, but we also don't look like scoring much - we don't get enough players into good positions.

Liverpool have some good individuals and they can beat you with Coutinho and Sturridge, but they're not a great team.

Lots of work for the manager to do - I think a good start would be a press conference where he says "I've got a lot of work to do"

As usual we only start playing when we are already behind. Why not try to attack when its 0-0? Why stand off them when we are losing? We scored 2 goals against the run of play (although good goals) - otherwise we were very very poor.

We have got to play 2 up front, or at least a no.10 close to Gestede, and we have got to play with at least 1 wide man to cross the ball. The goals today came from the rare occasions that the full backs were able to cross from a decent position. We should be playing 2 in central midfield, Gana plus Veretout/Westwood/Sanchez. And then we have a no.10 who plays from inside left/right position.

We are not going to win any games playing 3 tight central midfielders, none of who are ever going to score or create a goal.

Gestede scored 2 goals today from 4 chances - which is very decent. We need to give him service.

Simple. We have no quality. Any team that puts even a tiny bit of pressure on us will win, with ease. Liverpool weren't holding on for that and the scoreline flattered us. It was easy and that's with what is arguably our fully fit first XI.

We're in the relegation zone and we're staying there. By this time next week we will be at least three points adrift too.

Forget looking up, we're in a fight with Sunderland to see who can finish bottom.

Lost 100% by Sherwood ..... tactics were wrong, shape was wrong, substitutions were wrong.

Gana was not fit and repeatedly turned the ball over, Sinclair was gash and looked lost, Grealish looked like a pub footballer and the team just looked devoid of spirit.

Liverpool are a poor team with no confidence and yet we started with nine behind the ball at all times, gave Liverpool the ball and lots of space and just gifted confidence to the opposition.

Can't wait to hear Tim's explanation for such a poor, negative, hopeless performance !!!

A little bit better for about 5 minutes, but overall an absolutely awful performance. Our decision making when we actually had a bit of momentum was poor. Things aren't really looking like they're improving at the moment, so we really do need to get a result against Stoke to try and kick our season into life. Tim needs to have a good think and get it right next week.

So during the week we learn that Vertout and Ayew were looking good and Bacuna was playing a bit better. That Clark was better than Lescott.

response: drop Bacuna, bring Vertout on when we need an attacking substitution leave Ayew on the bench. Drop Clark for Lescott.

Bring Traore on when we are 3:1 down

Leave Gil on the bench.

make no substitutions at half time.

**** off Sherwood you are an utter muppet!
