WhatsApp the choice of communication for organised crime, drug dealers, and politicians.

There was a sting operation last month after the FBI invented their own ‘encrypted’ message service and managed to get it widely used by criminal networks globally 😆

THE HAGUE —

A global sting involving an encrypted communications platform developed by the FBI has sparked a series of raids and arrests around the world, delivering “an unprecedented blow” to crime gangs, authorities said Tuesday.

Operation Trojan Shield involved police swoops in 16 nations. More than 800 suspects were arrested, and over 32 tons of drugs — cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and methamphetamines — were seized along with 250 firearms, 55 luxury cars and more than $148 million in cash and cryptocurrencies. An indictment unsealed Tuesday in San Diego named 17 foreign distributors charged with racketeering conspiracy.

FML, if they are unhappy about immigration now, they should really get the environment up their list of concerns.  Making large parts of the world uninhabitable for humans isn't going to take the pressure away.  We may find our own coastal regions underwater, whole towns needing to move inland.

Maybe their concerns would be better catered for if they could just tell the truth and just say the racist bit out loud.  Let's face it, the concern isn't really immigration, it's that Brexit "won" and they can still see non-white faces in the neighbourhood.

So, are you saying burning oil and coal will cause the English Channel to get wider?

As long as it floods France I’ll vote for it, I live in the midlands so won’t affect me.

They're well aware of the future electoral salience of migration due to global warming, and this current period is best understood IMO as setting up a clear dividing line in the minds of the public between 'deserving' migrants (those who come through the 'points-based immigration system') and 'undeserving' migrants (those seeking asylum).

Immigration is now a very dirty word in the UK, I think a lot of people are unable to differentiate the various types and reasons people migrate here and what the benefits of that are.

Immigration = people coming to the UK wanting to take advantage and it must end.

Immigration = criminal

Labour or whoever need to focus on educating the country on what immigration is, and why it’s so important.

That sounds like the baby steps of a civilization that ends up like the Maze Runner universe or the hunger games or something.

I agree with you that it's shit, but it's nothing new, just the continuation of the consensus view of both major parties for the last thirty or forty years. Labour contributed at least as much as the Tories to this state of affairs, if not more.

Johnson's probably had more fun days. Seems like every MP who isn't a member of the Government is yelling at him in the HoC about what an embarrassing shambles he is.

Biden getting it fairly squarely in the neck from all sides too.

Biden was always going to get it once Trump was out of the picture (although he hasn’t helped himself with Afghanistan).

God only knows how Johnson got the top job, and then kept it for this long.

Load of puffed up dickheads trumpeting their vaunted morality who would have done not a single thing differently in his role tbh tbh.
