Cement the stranglehold while they effectively don't have opposition. The fallout from Brexit gives then an opportunity to adjust a great many pieces of legislation as they see fit, may as well try to improve their power in Parliament while they can. Also stave off any questions of legitimacy for Fake Thatcher before the shit starts to fly.

Yeah does make sense.

Surely one party has to come out and oppose leaving the EU now as part of their mandate? There's a lot of votes to gain here, there's a lot of people who won't risk not voting again.

The Lib Dems might. They'll try to con this years student population the same way they did on 2010, and hopefully win back some of the youth they screwed then.

Labour will run a campaign of trying to hold the Tories to account because they know they won't win. Not a chance they'll run on a pro-EU basis.

The Tories have won this already.

Smart move by May, she's going to absolutely crush her pathetic opponents. Far too late in the day for Labour to get rid of the pathetic Corbyn and he has absolutely no chance of winning.

Well Corbyn will be gone come July that's the only benefit for Labour supporters as once they get murdered in the elections he won't be able to continue as leader.

David Miliband will then return to take over.

you answered your own question! the opposition is as weak as it'll probably get so its a near guaranteed win, the turnout will probably be ridiculously low

Labour will promote another charmless Blairite (if they can ditch Corbyn, whose membership support is so high he might fight to stay in the face of failure) and nothing changes.

They should promote someone pragmatic and on the left, but not tainted by Blair's stink. But they won't.

Decent money they completely fall apart after the spanking they get.

The Tories are laughing. May could openly murder an immigrant and get gains.

Tories are also going to gain a load back from UKIP with Nuttall  as leader.

The leadership debates are going to be a painful watch.

May will be her usual thick as s**t, Sturgeon will hammer on about independence, Nuttall will make up some crazy facts about himself, and Corbyn will read out some letter from a nurse.

Labour are so screwed it's untrue. Lib dems should get back up to 40-60 seats on the basis of chinning off the Brexit vote and the Tories will clean up in England.

Scotland will be the part of this one to watch. The SNP will have to campaign on the basis of holding another independence referendum, which offers other parties a way back in.

Interesting times.
