He can get games up there and come back to us with some first team experience. A good move for both club and player.

I hear this is his last year of his contract, so he'll need to have earned a new one.

Can confirm SGC has never thought RHM or Suliman were very good goalkeepers :P  On a related note, stand-up all members of the '100% correct' club ;)

They could fill in if needed ;) there is no end to their talents in my opinion, still 2 of our best young players in my opinion

Hadn't realised he'd been starting for Livi. For him to save a penalty and get an assist against Celtic in the same game, has to be a first surely?

I don’t think he saved a penalty. I think sir gary got his wires crossed. I might be wrong but I didn’t see it in the highlight reel.

He hasn’t been playing though. This was his first league start of the season. Hopefully the performance was enough to keep him in the role.

Is this guy our 5th choice keeper? And he's getting a start against the Champions in Scotland.

Not sure whether this says more about our strength in depth in this area (where there appears to be a fair bit of mediocrity) or more about the standard of football up there.

Good experience in any case.

Tbf to @Johnnyp there is a bit of a difference between pointing out now and again that so and so is one to watch and then pointing out that every person who ever kicked a football is one to watch.

Will be interesting to watch him, if he does start versus England!

Much ado about Matija! Montenegro star  Sarkic made his debut for seventh-tier Stratford Town in front of just 258 fans less than a year ago... now he's ready to take on England at Wembley in Euro 2020 qualifier.

  • Matija Sarkic is hoping to make his senior debut with the Montenegro team
  • The 22-year-old has been called up for the first time ahead of the England clash
  • On loan from Aston Villa, he's impressed in Scottish Premiership with Livingston
  • Sarkic only made his debut in seventh tier with Stratford back in December

"Great feeling, it's an honor to play for your country... I want to play in the Premier League, i want more than Livingston. I'll give my everything to achieve that."

He didn't have a lot of work yesterday but he played with great confidence and without any errors.

Would be absolutely awesome if in a couple of years time he has developed enough to take over from Heaton as number 1.

Who was the last academy keeper that became a first team regular?

@Villan4Life I'm going to show my ignorance and ask a silly question here, but do you look at GKs too or is it more specialist? If you do have any professional insight on him I'd love to hear it.
