Guest av1
We will be fine. They are not a good sideYep. I've been pretty pessimistic about all things Villa over on the main forum, but Blues are terrible. Sure they'll be up for it, and Rowett seems like a good young Manager but we should be beating this lot convincingly. If we are up for it we'll win, if we aren't up for it Sherwood will get Pelter's. Marka Ragnos Posted September 20, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted September 20, 2015 Jaysus focking shite. This is going to be an exciting match, that's for sure. I love all this pressure.
KSV
Got a feeling Gil will be dropped. Still don't think Sherwood rates him. Play him in the centre not outwide
This Could Be Rotterdam
People will say they're rubbish but they're a better side that they have been over the last few years and they'll know what this match means. Really wouldn't surprise me if we went into extra time again. I can cope with losing to the carrier bags but not to those knuckle draggers!
Rugeley Villa
yep, not a bad team at all and they have some dangerous players and a team that works hard and gets stuck in. i feel their players will be more up for it. i fancy extra time as well. VillaAndLoyal
A half empty Villa Park.Blues in the home end.A Villa team that seemingly won't fight for the manager (see yesterday). An opposition who will be massively up for the game (see all previous derbies).Should end well.

The way we are playing we would struggle in that league. I worry for this game, they are also a squad of grafters, we.............................are not.
Gary Thomas
Still expect a win - no excuses. I watched them Friday and they are no great shakes at all.The atmosphere will be a whole different level for this one (or it should be) and players must respond. Popular Post gilbertoAVFC
Don't want to see another negative post on this thread.Get to the ground, get behind them, and we'll win. No excuses. Players, fans, manager all in this together and all take responsibility.Come on you Villa boys. Will turn us around if we batter them - just like Albion did last year.
benireduk
Take all the local rivalry stuff away and strip it back to basics. We're playing a Championship side at home in the early stages of the league cup. Any other Championship side and there would be about 25k there at the most and we would all be expecting a safe passage to the next round. This is the approach I'm taking. Some people are getting too carried away

We on the other hand have a team full of bottle jobs

dubbs
Just been watching the 5-1 match. TS should make them all watch it. See how the team should play for each other. Hear how the fans support them when given something to support. Sure as hell helped me get over yesterday!
