Adama Traore

Huge Battlestar fan. This is great. Apollo!

Real talk though: he's built like a bull, has remarkable control and seems to finish well. Why would Barca let him go at 19?

He'll have a buy back clause.

Which makes it not much different than a long term loan.

If he ends up being crap then Barca have got a fee for him now. If he turns out to be awesome then they've got a set fee to buy him back for.

it's win/win for them really.

And if they do but him back, it's because he has played well enough and helped us, so I don't mind really.

Exactly

One of the Spanish guys on twitter is insisting there is no buy back.

Interesting.

When it's anywhere other than twitter I'll be excited.

Wow, I thought it was a dying art as I'd forgotten what it was like seeing a winger run to the bye line and pull the ball back, a defenders nightmare.

Seriously if this guy signs Rudy's gonna score for fun and finally someone who can keep up with Gabby!

Uh oh.

Liverpool will not give up on Barcelona youngster Adama Traore and will make their move for the 19-year-old this month.

Traore has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs over recent weeks with Liverpool facing competition from Stoke, Everton and Aston Villa for his signature.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes revealed that the club have held talks with Traore over a move but it appears his bid to land the player could be scuppered by Liverpool's interest.

According to the Metro, Brendan Rodgers will make an offer for the young winger in the coming weeks.

If you do a search there is quite an amusing timeline of the Metros ""reporting"" of this story. Basically every day they have linked him with a different club and claimed it is done or at advanced stages.

That article using the metro as reference to Rodgers making Adama a major target, sounds like bullshit

Daily Mail are saying medical today!

B)

Sherwood was conscious of not making too many foreign signings and has been trying to buy Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend from Tottenham.
But Sherwood decided to go back to Barcelona for Adama and the player is expected to have a medical later on Tuesday ahead of signing.

Although that bloke on Twitter said he wasn't at the club today.

I think folks need to calm down. We haven't signed the lad yet

Being excited at the prospect of signing someone actually requires that you have not signed him yet :)

Yeah because once they've signed you can write them off, ideally before they've completed their first game or the press conference.

Was there any mention by the Daily Mail that the medical might give him cancer? They have a real insight into these things...
