El Zen
Ghana qualified comfortably, I'm afraid. @JAMAICAN-VILLAN Edited September 4, 2016 by Michelsen Page break
NIVillan
Think he needs confidence and a team that actually has a plan and system, which we of course we lacked last season. He battered a Liverpool defense a couple of seasons back in the FA Cup.

The game finished 0-0 ffs.
bobzy
He's a handy player. He's shown that he's more than capable in the air and that alone is a huge bonus for any team. I'm not sure he should be first choice every single game, but he has a big part to play this season and offers something different to McCormack/Ayew/Kodjia - that variation is a good thing. There will be certain times where we will play to his strengths, particularly if/when Amavi gets back on form. I think he will get enough game time to prove himself to RDM

He will take his rightful place on the bench now we have Kodjia. Don't get me wrong, Gestede will contribute this season but in my mind he's a very limited and ultimately poor player. I wouldnt say he has been brilliant yet but watching Kozak vs Derby and our Bristol City performance I think he offers us more than people realise in this league
MCU
Does indeed suit this league down to the ground. I admit I wanted him gone this Summer after last season but he's proven early on he's capable so fair play to him.
dudevillaisnice
Good player to bring on and good goal. Gives us a solid option off the bench now attacking wise.
Zatman
was a top class finish and he looked more confident taking it
bobzy
Just don't understand the hate for this guy. Get the ball wide and get it in the box for him and he'll cause problems.
thejoker
Far more effective coming from the bench
Enda
Fantastic finish from a half-chance. "If Ronaldo had done that", etc. I think he's a good player in the squad, definitely worth a few million. Put away more chances than McScoremack so far this season. Well done, Rudy. Was it me or did he grab the player's neck during Aly's little scrap? Lucky to have avoided attention for that one.
KJT123
Awful last season but he's quite clearly a different player at this level. Hope to see him start the next few games.
OutByEaster? Posted September 11, 2016 Moderator Share Posted September 11, 2016 Came on and made a difference, I think we've now got a lot of goalscoring options and if I was Ross McCormack I'd be working my socks off in training.
Dr_Pangloss
I think we saw him in his best capacity, as an impact player, not as a starter.
VillaChris
Yep, never had an issue with him coming off the bench but he's simply started too many games for us particularly at a level he's out of his depth. Fine in the championship though.
bobzy
I still think it's mainly a tactical thing. He works when we cross it. Simple shit. Last season we played with zero width.
Tommo_b
Really starting to see his potential and why he was signed now, he looks like a transformed player this season.

Confidence is huge in strikers - they thrive on goals and rudi will play a big part in ouR season - delighted to see him do well
